Support the business development team with tenders and bid submissions Actively support client management promoting and leading on the Q&G agenda section Lead and promote a healthy and productive working environment focusing on a culture of wellness, engagement, and motivation. Disseminating learning from various forms of feedback within the organisation to improve the quality of our services by supporting our teams, including a quarterly report. Develop and deliver the organisations approach to risk management and supporting services to ensure risk is monitored and mitigations are appropriately identified. Lead on our Information Governance requirements ensuring learning across the organisation liaise with our external DPO services team. Ensure key governance and risk information is disseminated to relevant parts of the organisation. Responsible for ensuring DMC and its services continually monitor, improve and meet our CQC obligations for high quality services. Develop CQC improvement plans and initiatives. To support the Registered Managers in their responsibilities to CQC. Governance team management and development. Develop our annual quality account and annual report. Management of the Q&G team. Actively participate in and lead any governance meeting, such as the Audit Meeting. Good working relationships with management team and all senior levels. Job Summary You will support the Senior Quality Manager in the clinical governance and risk management of your area. Working alongside laboratory teams to ensure compliance with ISO 15189, you will act as a bridge between the Quality and Operational teams. Reporting to the Senior Quality Manager, you will have a high level of responsibility to ensure the successful delivery of pathology services, in line with our corporate objectives. This is a 12 month fixed-term opportunity to support the Quality team and the Infection Sciences team until January-February 2026. Review quality audits and establish necessary action to be implemented including use of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), ensuring all Information Governance (IG) requirements are met. Maintain standards of conduct required by the HCPC to practice. Support Clinical and Operational leads in the strategic development and service improvement of the analytical service and, from a quality perspective, advise on the implementation of new techniques, equipment, assays and processes including all verification and validation work. Monitor, report and action errors, hazards, and incidents logged in the CAPA module of Q-Pulse. Provide support for Senior Quality Manager in serious incident investigations. Lead in the investigation of all other incidents, ensuring corrective actions are reported in Q-Pulse and other relevant software. Support in the development and implementation of Business Continuity and Serious Incidents Plans where necessary for your service line(s). Oversee and develop resources for the provision of training for colleagues in quality procedures and investigations or as part of onboarding activity, such as induction. Communicate findings of service failure or serious incidents and use instances like these as opportunities to teach and develop others through your experience. Oversee quality audit schedule and document review compliance. The primary purpose of this role is to support the development and maintenance of quality procedures, ensuring compliance with the International Quality Standards ISO 15189 and ILAC-G19, together with the FSR Codes of Practice and Conduct and guidance documents. To support the development and maintenance of the Forensic Services Quality Management System (QMS). Deputise for the Quality and Operations Manager in periods of absence, within their specialist area. Support with the development of new SOPs and review and amend procedures and documents as required in relation to the FSR codes of practice for SARCS. Assist with the production of validation and verification procedures and supporting documents. Assist with the control and distribution of documents and quality procedures within the QMS. To attend the Havens UKAS/FSR Implementation Group meetings and other meetings as required. Work with the Havens Audit Lead, support implementation of a system for auditing systems relating to the SOPs relevant to the FSR codes of practice for SARCs. Provide practical support and advice in respect to the management of non-conformities (adverse incidents) and the service risk register, relating to accreditation. Participate in investigations whererequired to do so, and the review and monitoring of action plans.

Coordinate and manage IG operations in support of research, keeping the Head of IG, the Director for Research, and the Chief Operating Officer for INSIGHT apprised of outcomes and escalating issues as appropriate. Provide expert and specialist IG advice and expertise on health research and related data access initiatives, developing high-quality, user-friendly and accurate guidance in a range of formats. JOB SUMMARY The Trust has embraced Quality Improvement (QI) as the overarching principle for the organisation and set its longer-term vision to provide the highest quality, best value healthcare for patients. The primary purpose of the QI Programme is to oversee the transformation of the culture of the Trust to one of continuous improvement.
