Commissioning QA Manager – G9
The Cardiff, Children’s Services Commissioning Team wish to appoint a Quality Assurance Manager to work within the Children’s Services commissioning function in Cardiff Council. Previous Registered Manager experience is preferred. The role will manage QA contract monitoring staff. This is a hybrid role with home working, but site visits are a requirements on a frequent basis.
The Children’s Services Commissioning Team within Cardiff Council are responsible for the delivery of externally commissioned services to children, young people and their families known to, or involved with Cardiff Children’s Services. The service is committed to working with and developing the market to increase the quantity and quality of services available to Cardiff Children, Young People, and their families within the Cardiff area.
This is an exciting opportunity to enhance how Children’s Services work with local providers, the wider market, stakeholders, and external agencies ensuring quality of provision and identifying opportunities for improvement in the services available to our children, young people and their families.
The candidate must have Knowledge of RISCA Regulated Services (Service Providers and Responsible Individuals) (Wales) Regulations 2017, a working understanding of contract monitoring and assessing and supporting providers with improving their provision. The post holder will play a critical role in oversight of Escalating Concerns within the service and in regular communication with providers.
The role will be integral in strengthening and maintaining the relationships with providers, reviewing and overseeing the quality of placements including those operating without registration. The role requires someone who understands the pressures within the sector and supporting them to meet the current and changing needs of our children, young people and their families and will be crucial in the delivery of cost effective and high-quality outcomes.
We wish to appoint an individual who can demonstrate effective supervisory and leadership skills whilst also possessing effective analytical, communication and engagement skills. Experience and knowledge of commissioning activity within a health or social care related sector is an essential requirement of this post.
