Duties
1. This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19.
2. As the Assistant Chief of Technical Services, participates in the administration and planning of a comprehensive fire prevention program at the installation. Plans, administers, and supervises the fire prevention education program.
3. Reviews construction and modification plans, confers with engineers, and provides technical/functional assistance on fire prevention and building design criteria
4. Performs supervisory personnel management responsibilities for a small subordinate staff with at least one civilian position.

• Plans, organizes, and executes a wide range of complex activities for the Group Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP), and the Exercise and Evaluation Program.
• Develops, integrates, and directs the Group planning activities.
• Manages the integration of multi-discipline resources necessary to support Group-wide tasks and projects.
• Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Group Inspector General (IG) Inspections, ensuring that the commander's
• inspection program complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets command intent and satisfies customer needs.
• Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.

The primary purpose of this position is: To provide visual flight rules (VFR) air traffic control services to aircraft operating in the vicinity of an airport or on the controlled movement area of the airfield, providing for the safe, orderly, and expeditious air traffic flow.

• Controls military and civilian aircraft under visual flight rules (VFR) in a control tower environment
• Observes and reports airport advisories, critical weather information, and equipment outages
• Provides instruction and assistance to air traffic control personnel
• Maintains certification requirements

• Maintains professional and technical proficiency and accomplishes special projects related to specialty area, to include staff surveillance visits to various training activities.
