YOUR ROLE
This role will ensure that all warehouse operations are working efficiently to meet operational key performance indicators, manage forecasts, site working instructions and national standard operating procedures meeting productivity and customer targets on a daily basis
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all people processes including performance management, learning and development goals, foster positive behaviours and working environment.
- Motivates, organises, and encourages teamwork within the operation to ensure productivity targets are met.
- Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods, using customer forecasting and planning future capacity requirements, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met.
- Allocate resource for each work area on a daily basis by working with team leaders to ensure flexibility throughout the day to ensure daily targets are met. Determine the over / under capacity of work areas and allocate / escalate accordingly on a daily / weekly basis in line with forecasts.
- Brief team leaders of relevant information and observe daily start up meetings to ensure accurate effective team briefs are carried out.
- Monitor and maintain an efficient operation to ensure internal and customer key performance indicators are met, with reporting and recording of operational key performance indicators.
- Challenge the operation to identify and implement continuous improvements in conjunction with the Operational Excellence team to support the achievement of site continuous improvement targets
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely.
- Conduct regular reviews of training plans to ensure they are fit for purpose and any refresher training is identified and planned for. Provide support, advice and coaching to team leaders and operatives as required.
- Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
- Provide operational input into customer meetings, customer onboarding and meetings and drive the quality of service they are receiving.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office Applications
- Good knowledge of creating and maintaining spreadsheets
- Ability of interpreting data
- Knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
- Understand the QSHE drivers of the site
- Experience of managing small teams
- Understanding of KPI

- Experience of managing all people processes through the lifecycle of an employee including Recruitment & Selection, Appraisal, Performance Management and Grievance
- Experience of working with LEAN principle
