Role Responsibility

• You will have overall responsibility for the running of the store, focusing on customer experience, colleague development, and delivering commercial growth in line with our 5-year strategy.
• Putting the customer at the heart of everything we do you will develop a team of colleagues who live and breathe our customer promise and actively seek ways to delight our customers.
• You will coach, train and develop colleagues within your store harnessing their strengths and building on development areas.
• Be proactive in recruiting a team of Assistant Managers, Team Leaders, and Sales Assistants that reflect our values, behaviours with the required skill set to meet our business needs.
• Make commercial decisions around stock availability and merchandising.
• Actively seek contact with key stakeholders to gain a wider understanding of the business
• Providing constructive and beneficial feedback to the store team, District and Regional Managers around store performance and business opportunities to encourage continual growth.

Connect Appointments are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join our clients finance team, as a Purchase Ledger Clerk, on a full-time ongoing basis.

Based within their Larbert office, your role as a Purchase Ledger Assistant will see you play a key part in building the reputation of Finance Department, ensuring that suppliers are treated with respect and that the business is recognised for providing an exceptional level of service.

Working as a Purchase Ledger Clerk:

• Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm - flexibility is available
• £25,000 per annum - temporary contract

Your duties & responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Maintaining and managing a good, aged creditor balance
• Processing of supplier invoices and credit notes; plus, undertaking regular supplier statement reconciliations
• Running supplier payment runs through Sage or other financial (creditor) systems
• Ensuring employee expenses, purchase cards and company credit cards are suitably allocated and processed
• Run & provide management reporting relating to expenses/creditors, as required

To be successful, you will ideally have the following skills, traits and experience:

• Previous purchase ledger experience
• Intermediate IT skills (Excel and Word)
• Excellent attention to detail and good time management
• Experience of using Sage is required
• Confident and adaptable, with excellent communication skills

CAGRA

We operate the UK’s ONLY flexible multi-temp, shared customer delivery logistics network. We buy, warehouse, pick and distribute products to the nation’s best loved food and drink brands every single day and provide the best experience to our customers.

This role is based within our fast-paced warehouse at our Larbert depot and forms an essential part of the Best Food Logistics business in delivering the right products to our customers on time.

• Work with all team members to ensure that all corporate goals are consistently achieved and maintained
• Using voice technology, unload supplier’s vehicles of products, perform checks to Company standards, and processes relating to our clients’ requirements, taking temperature recordings where necessary
• Using a powered pallet truck (PPT), ensure that all products received and checked, probed where required, labelled, stacked safely, and wrapped as per the current process and policy to enable pickers to assemble customer orders without incurring any delay to the pick
• Comply with all requirements of the Health and Safety policy and procedure including wearing safety clothing and footwear, always adhere to Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) procedures and be aware of and comply with all fire safety procedures, including maintaining clear fire exits and escape routes
• Comply with all relevant Food Safety and Food Hygiene legislation and ensure the warehouse and site is kept clean, tidy and in safe condition at all times
• Cooperate fully with other departments/depots always maintaining a professional and polite attitude and undertake any other duties that may from time to time prove necessary
• Work to targets and have an accurate and methodical approach to your work

You must have basic numeracy and literacy skills and be a good team player.

Knowledge of Food Hygiene and experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

Reach Truck licence is essential for this role and PPT training will be provided.
