To support our store expansion program, we are currently recruiting full time Warehouse Operatives (Pickers) on a permanent basis
to join our team at our Melton site. We are offering 36 hours per week, working 3 x 12 hour shifts per week working 10am to 10pm
working every Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The role involves picking stock orders in a fast paced environment ready to be
distributed to our network of stores in an efficient and effective manner within the Freezer, Chilled or Ambient chamber.



You will be working to targets, so this role has a performance related bonus, with the potential to earn up to an extra £135* per
week on top of your basic pay. (Subject to your usual tax & NI deductions).

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Picker / Warehouse Operative:

* Pick orders (using a voice activated headset) and load cages ready for store deliveries in an accurate and efficient manner,
this could be based in the freezer section, chiller or the ambient store
* You could be potentially working in conditions of -25 in the Freezer section, for this you will have the correct PPE to work in
this climate
* Manage your time effectively in order to achieve the pick figure targets and job standards set out by Warehouse
Supervisor/Manager
* Complying with all Health & Safety responsibilities in line with Company policies and procedures



Skills and experience:

* Essential: time management, accuracy, energy and a ‘can do’ attitude, ability to work to KPI targets

We have a permanent opportunity to join our Warehouse Operative Nights team at Upper Poppleton, York, to support the picking and packing of our customers purchases and retail store stock deliveries, Monday to Thursday 7pm to 6am (42 hours per week).

Pay is £11.70 per hour with an additional £3 per hour premium for night hours 10pm-6am making the night rate £14.70 per hour. We also have a voluntary additional training programme to increase your rates to £12.05 per hour and £15.05 per hour respectively. Pay is on a monthly basis.

Please note the first 2 weeks will be day time shifts to complete mandatory training.

We are looking for physically fit individuals to cover the 100,000+ square foot Warehouse facility who don’t mind some stairs and some heavy lifting. You’ll need a conscientious ‘can do’ attitude, self-motivation and not mind staying up all night!!!

Duties of our Warehouse Operative Nights include:


Unloading Goods in deliveries and shelving in appropriate Warehouse locations
Maintain Goods in put away rates are in line with targets
Loading outgoing shipments onto transport & off-loading inbound transport
Packing individual shop picks into default cartons for dispatch
Processing Recalls and Inter-Branch Transfers (IBT’s)
Maintaining a consistent stock picking rates to target
Manually Packing Orders following the correct procedure and maintaining packing rate targets
Keeping areas clean and tidy
Following Company H & S policy


About You:


Good level of physical fitness with ability to use initiative and have a positive attitude
Due to this position being nights you must be 18 or over to apply
Previous experience of working in a warehouse or picking and packing is desirable
Able to use computers and mobile devices to basic level (training provided)

Warehouse Stock Checker - Sherburn-In-Elmet - £22,405

The position

• This is a full time permanent position based at our customers distribution centre in Sherburn-In-Elmet
• Rate of pay: £22,405 per annum
• Weekly hours: 37.5 hours per week plus daily 30-min unpaid break
• Shift Patterns: 5 days out of 7 - Shifts between: 3pm-11pm
• Working Environment - Mixed

A day in the life of a Warehouse Stock Operative

As a Warehouse Stock Operative, you will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in what can be described as a fast-paced and target driven environment to ensure the stock entering or leaving the depot is accurate.

Our activities vary, so often, you may be required to work across multiple different workstreams such as Goods Inbound checks, Picker Accuracy audits and Load Adherence checks most of which require periods of manual handling.

Job activities

• Audit the Inbound accuracy of supplier deliveries on the GFR program.
• Audit Picker accuracy of stock destined for stores and fully investigate all errors found.
• Adhere to agreed audit and error verification procedures at all times.
• Maintain integrity at all times.
• Ensure the expected productivity levels are achieved, in line with customer expectations.
• Review daily targets in line with customer expectations.
