About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative within our Swanley Distribution Centre.

In this role you will be working within a busy warehouse department and will be responsible for the accurate assessing of controlled drug counts, credit returns, new products, perpetual inventory checks and any other request on warehouse items. This warehouse supports the cardboard and plastic recycling process, as well as tray wash operation, for one of the leading grocery supermarkets. The site is a fast-paced, diverse environment, with plenty of development opportunities available.

What you'll do on a typical day as a Warehouse Operative:
This is a vital role in preparing plastic trays for re-use in the distribution of food items to the supermarket. The role will involve loading and unloading plastic food trays onto a conveyor belt, which are then washed by an industrial washing machine. The trays are unloaded at the other end and returned to the suppliers. Other tasks will involve the recycling of plastic and cardboard by unloading from cages into a baling machine. The work is physical so you must enjoy work of a physical nature.
