We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our Crawley site. Reporting to a Team Leader, working for a highly regarded company within the defence industry. The individual will be expected to demonstrate flexibility and capability to perform all aspects of warehousing to meet all key performance indicators and exceed customer expectations.
Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain Security Clearance

Day to Day
- Working within a team environment in the warehouse completing general warehousing duties that will include lifting and shifting a range of items from small defence items to larger more bulky items
- Ensuring the correct handling of products is carried out at all times of the facility
- Completing necessary administration and paperwork accurately
- Operating both customer and Wincanton IT systems
- Supporting the operational efficiency of the site by pitching in with general housekeeping and hygiene standards around the warehouse and site
- Work within safe systems of work in line with Wincanton Health & Safety legislation and guidelines
- React to change due to operational and client requirements and carrying out duties in a professional and timely fashion

What will you bring?
- Computer literacy is essential in this role due to the evolving requirement to work on both the customer and Wincanton’s computer systems
- Attention to detail as we are working with some expensive products
- Physically able to lift and shift products
- Team player who pitches in and works well with others
- MHE experience and licenses would be a bonus, but we can provide training on this if necessary
- Experience of Warehouse Management Systems would be advantageous
- Customer focused and dedicated to providing excellent service
- Flexible, positive, and professional approach to work
