Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a proactive and strategic Packaging Procurement Manager. This role fulfills a manager position on the European packaging procurement team. The ideal candidate will play a key part in driving forward sustainability initiatives across packaging portfolio.

Areas of responsibility:

• Strategic sourcing – Develop and execute cost advantaged strategies to procure packaging materials for Europe
• Supply Market Expertise – continuously monitor supply and demand dynamics in key packaging materials (rigid containers, corrugate, flexible labels, pouches, secondary packaging, etc.). Understand buying position in the market vs. our competitors, as well as supplier positions and negotiations power
• Cost Savings - generate new ideas and execute on those ideas to deliver cost reductions in line with the specific targets. Engage suppliers on pricing and supply related issues for new product quotes, volume transfers and/or cost savings projects.
• Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) – partner with internal R&D and supplier technical experts to improve life cycle cost of our packaging (minimize waste, maximize product performance, re-use packaging instead of repurchasing where applicable, etc.)
• Product Supply - Manage intermittent supply issues and support planning organization to ensure supplier performance and compliance
• Innovations Support – Support new project initiatives from the business, attend team functions and provide input, engage suppliers to help team understand potential costs and design/cost implication, engage larger Supply Chain functions when necessary, execute startups.
• Communications - Develop appropriate communications to advise business of supplier performance and supply issues.
• Sustainability – work closely with Diversey’s corporate sustainability and strategy office to develop ESG targets related to packaging, as well as execution plans and strategies

Education/Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in packaging engineering or supply chain, engineering, chemical engineering or related field
• MBA preferred
• Knowledge of packaging categories, knowledge of European and global packaging supply market
• Strong analytical skills, ability to work with data analytics function and drive insights from data analysis
• Basic understanding of packaging related commodity indexes (HDPE, LDPE, PP, paper, wood and metals related industry indexes or price tracking mechanisms)

• 3+ years of work experience in procurement, packaging category management, supply chain

The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for processing procurement of goods, and services for FHI360 Ghana Office as well as ensuring documentation is filled appropriately.

Job Summary

Provide highest standard of Procurement services to FHI360 Ghana Office in accordance with established rules, regulations, and policies.

Ensure integrity and transparency of the procurement process and in compliance with USAID policies and procedures.

Identify and fully understand the best procurement methods to use for maximized competitive bidding process.

Prepare procurement packages for review and approval.

Reconcile final invoice, delivery notes and Purchase Orders and request upload onto DPA.

Maintain and update all trackers.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Business Management and

• Experience Desired: 2 years' experience as Material Handling Equipment mechanic, in building and Equipment maintenance, knowledge of retail support center and knowledge of automation systems
• Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification or Licensing Required: Valid Driver's License
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 100 pounds
• Travel Required: Regional - Daily, Less than 10%

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for building maintenance.
• Responsible for pump maintenance, including hanging hardware, i.e., changing hoses, nozzles, etc.
• Responsible for pump troubleshooting, including card readers, printers, etc.
• Responsible for patching concrete and asphalt holes.
• Change light bulbs on canopy, perimeter lights and exterior building lights.
• Responsible for external and internal painting.
• Responsible for basic trouble shooting of HVAC units, cleaning HVAC units and assisting with changing filters.
• Responsible for changing interior light bulbs.
• Responsible for basic troubleshooting for coolers and freezers including evaporators, condensing units, drain lines, etc.
• Responsible for restroom drain clogs, fixing leaks, replacing stools, faucets, internal stool plumbing fixtures and maintaining/replacing hand dryers.
• Responsible for general maintenance of ice and FCB machines, including troubleshooting, delimbing, electronics and maintaining operation.
• Responsible for basic general maintenance of fountain machines, including drain clogs, BIB connectors, etc.
• Responsible for basic general maintenance of deli case, cleaning condensers, changing evaporator fans, etc.
• Responsible for basic general maintenance of ovens (conveyer and industrial) and Hatco warmers, etc.
• Responsible for miscellaneous maintenance needs, including changing door hardware, hanging signs, bulletin board, etc.

As the IT Services Purchasing Lead, you'll redefine global category practices for IT Services, focusing on Delivery Based Services, Outsourcing, and Fix Price Projects. Maximize cost savings and procurement value by crafting and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives. Your role is pivotal in defining global category strategies, collaborating with regional Lead Buyers across APAC and NORAM LATAM.

In this role you'll

1. Execute Global Categories

Take charge of sourcing projects, negotiate contracts, and ensure seamless implementation while driving compliance.

2. Define Procurement Strategy

Develop and implement procurement strategies for global categories, analyzing spend baselines, assessing risks, and contributing to strategic planning.

3. Manage Vendor Relationships

Classify vendors, establish governance, and implement a Vendor Management model for strategic IT Services vendors. Track performance and identify improvement opportunities.

4. Build Internal Customer Relationships

Develop strong connections with stakeholders in the IT Services area, proactively identifying cost reduction opportunities, and enhancing procurement's profile within the organization.

5. Lead Category Buyers Team

Manage and coordinate the team's activities, ensuring engagement, effective communication, and fostering professional development.

About the ideal candidate

- Demonstrates around 5 years experience in a strategic technology procurement role within an international company or, has engineering or sales background supplemented by relevant job experience providing wide and deep insights into purchasing practice
- Possesses knowledge on Contract management tools, Sourcing tools (ideally Coupa), Virtual collaboration tools (sharepoints, etc.)

- Is proficient in English, other languages a plus

- Has expert knowledge of services, strategic Sourcing Projects management, negotiation principles/techniques and contractual legal frameworks negotiation

- Demonstrates experience leading teams/direct reports
