As a Procurement Manager at Avesis, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, supplier selection, and contracting activities, leveraging Workday as our primary procurement tool. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking capabilities, and a deep understanding of procurement processes, the impact of procurement functions across the organization, and best practices.
Procurement Process Optimization:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement and execute procurement strategies that drive efficiency, cost savings, and process improvement.
- Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and performance enhancement.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance procurement policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Align procurement processes with reporting needs of the business.
- Responsible for use tax filings and annual 1099 filings.
Workday Procurement Tool Administration:
- Serve as the primary administrator for Workday procurement modules, including configuration, maintenance, and user support.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on Workday procurement functionalities and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, implement system enhancements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Contract Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end contract management process, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and renewal of contracts with suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure that all contracts adhere to legal and regulatory requirements and align with company policies and objectives.
Supplier Selection and Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors based on quality, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and other relevant criteria.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, delivery, and service levels.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
Functional Skills:
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing and to manage in both the business world and the technology world.
- Value delivery mindset that aligns to business requirements and priorities.
- Ability to develop KPIs to track efficacy of solutions.
- Strong knowledge in Workday Procurement is a plus.
- Proven experience managing procurement activities, including Requisitions, Purchase Orders and Contracts,
- Ability to be a self-starter
- Solid understanding of Purchasing and Supply Management techniques.
- Experience in monitoring and performance optimization of Procurement systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Team player with strong prioritization skills who understands the impact of procurement across the organization
Requirements:
- BA or BS in a Business Administration, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in Procurement.
- Proficiency using procurement software and tools. Workday experience a plus.
- Demonstrated record of successful leadership driving business improvements across departments / functions.
- Ability to travel when needed (5%) – possibly to various Avesis meetings/conferences as/if needed.
FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt
Salary Range: $74,260 - $116,200
