PHOENIX Healthcare Distribution is a national full-line pharmaceutical wholesaler with a network of distribution centers nationwide. About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative within our St Albans Distribution Centre.

Working within a busy pharmaceutical warehouse environment you will be accurately assembling customer orders, efficiently picking customer orders for shipment and ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped on time. You will need to meet minimum productivity and quality standards and comply with policies and legal requirements in relation to the role.Working closely with a dedicated team, you'll contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment. Effective communication and teamwork are essential as you coordinate efforts to achieve operational excellence.

In this role you will be required to stand and walk for the majority of your shift, as well as needing to be able to lift (products up to 15kg), bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.

Retail and Asset Solutions are looking for a warehouse team captain to join our supply chain team on a full-time permanent basis. As a warehouse team captain, you will be responsible for achieving daily auditing targets by checking the accuracy of pallets and cages of stock, before they leave the warehouse, to ensure they meet the delivery requests and no errors have been made.

You will be required to:

• Manage stock accuracy levels within the depot and stock loaded into trailers against drivers' paperwork and check the accuracy of incoming deliveries.
• Delivery Checker's will be confident in their ability to add and subtract without the use of a calculator
• Able to actively respond to both verbal instructions and audible warning devices
• The ability to communicate well, both written and verbally
• Ensure your own and the team's KPI's are met
• Perform and document weekly supervision with each team member
• Monitor audit data to provide performance feedback to each team member regarding
• output and error rates
• Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

The Position

• This is a full-time permanent position based at our customers distribution centre in St Helens
• Rate of pay: £23,790 per annum
• Shift patterns: 5 days out of 7 - 8-hour shifts between: 9pm-9am
• Weekly hours: 37.5 hours plus daily 30-min unpaid break
• Working Environment: Chilled
• Own transport required

About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative at the NHS Supply Chain , you will play a vital role in our healthcare system . Your daily contributions ensure that millions of NHS patients receive the essential medical products they need promptly and accurately.

The primary responsibilities include picking and packing medical consumables, including medical devices and licensed medical products, but there are huge opportunities for progress within the company.

Shifts & Pay Rates:

• Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm, rotating
• 37.5 hours paid weekly

Candidate Requirements:

• Proficiency in English & numeracy, as reading orders and understanding health and safety guidelines are essential (testing involved)
• A passion for supporting the NHS and the community
• Strong willingness to learn and collaborate effectively within a team to ensure high standards of housekeeping and Health & Safety are adhered to
• No prior experience necessary; comprehensive training will be provided

Overtime (hours worked over 40h): £15.83/hour

The role is 5 days out of 7 and does include some weekend work. This is a permanent afternoon shift role.

Duties include:

• Picking and packing orders on a LLOP truck using a voice pick system
• This may include some de-kit work (disposal of rubbish returned to us from Coop stores, and disassembling cages)
• Working in the chill chamber of the warehouse (between 2 and 5 degrees)
• Adhering to health and safety regulations
