Your new role
As the Purchasing Manager, you will be working with a colleague to ensure the correct quantities of goods and services are procured to allow efficient operation of farms across Africa (Senegal, Ghana and Algeria). This will include seeds, grains, fertiliser, machinery and disposable equipment. You will be responsible for a portfolio valued in excess of £100m p/a across the 3 countries. Job Overview
-The Procurement Systems team will play a pivotal role in taking our Procurement function to the next level through elevating our Procurement operations by establishing standardized, simplified, and scalable practices across our systems and processes.



Main Duties

-Administration, maintenance and configuration of Coupa, across all modules.

-Quality Assure the integration of any new entities into the Coupa (and other S2P) platforms, including but not limited to Acquisitions and Mobilisations.

• Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
• Managing team of including 3 Warehouse Operative and 3 Drivers
• Producing monthly reports
• Supporting the Branch Manager
• Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning
• Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided!)
• Work as a direct support the management team and act as a keyholder when needed
• Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
• Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
• Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
• Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

Your new role
As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will manage one direct report, supporting them with day-to-day queries and their continuous professional development. You will focus on commercial and marketing categories, two areas that make up the vast bulk of the UK businesses spend. As the company goes through a step change in their approach to procurement, making it mandated, you will lead the charge in rolling this out across your stakeholder base. You will frequently engage with the CFO and wider marketing team to support this transition and will lead procurement of events, PR and Media agencies alongside POS production, social media etc.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a seasoned procurement professional with a strong understanding of the marketing landscape and the various subcategories that would fall under your remit. You should be an expert communicator who can confidently influence and manage a diverse and international stakeholder base. People management experience is not a pre-requisite, but a desire and willingness to take this step is crucial. You should be able to commute to the Uxbridge office 3 days a week. A desire and ability to improve processes and effect change will be vital in allowing you to hit the ground running and make a real impact in this role.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive base salary of up to £75,000 p/a, alongside a 12.5% bonus, 25 days' holiday and a wider benefits package. This role would also afford the opportunity to progress into a people management role, should this be your aim.

Your new role

You will be reportinginto the CFO, supporting their procurement needs by managing the procurementfunction, with one individual reporting into you. As this company continues togrow, their need to manage indirect spend has become vital to the success ofthe business.

You will beresponsible for

You will be managingkey buying categories whilst reviewing and approving all purchase requisitionsacross the business. You will lead all sourcing activities and tenderprocesses, targeting cost saving in line with businesses' KPIs. You will bebuilding and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders,whilst defining the strategy goals for other categories via the line managementof the junior procurement manager. You will be the key point of contact for theprocurement function, able to support the CFO with additional procurementproject when they arise.


What you'll need to succeed

Youwill have experience working within indirect Procurement, with experience inthe marketing & event categories. You will be fluent in English withexcellent communication skills,both written and verbal. You will have proven business partnering experiencewith commercial awareness and a customer focus and a confident and positiveattitude, ability to challenge conventional thinking. You will have a good workingknowledge of Office and ideally, good working knowledge of SAP orunderstanding of the principles of purchase requests.
