Job: Warehouse Manager
We have a fantastic opportunity to join a leader in their field to be our clients new Warehouse and Logistics Manager. This is a position of responsibility and we are looking for a candidate with a real understanding of how a parts warehouse functions as you will be working to tight deadlines and working in high pressure environment during peak periods.
Due to the nature of the business/product the hours will change between Summer and Winter. Between the months of March – October you will work 8 hours a day between 08.00 – 17.00 (40 hours per week) and between the months October – March between 09.00 – 17.00 Monday – Thursday and 09.00 – 16.00 Friday. (34 hours per week).
Duties will include but not limited to the following –
1. Management of a small warehouse team.
2. Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of parts
3. Liaise with suppliers and transport companies
4. Leading the team within a fast-moving distribution environment
5. Managing the smooth running of the warehouse and looking to improve and streamline warehouse functions
6. Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
7. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work on a tactical and strategic level
8. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
9. Organisation of spare parts and cataloguing items
10. You must be methodical and able to motivate and organize staff and workload
11. Experience of dealing with multiple locations and logistical networks
12. Work closely with Sales staff
13. Must be fully IT literate and used to operating parts-based database systems
14. Hands on approach to work and be able to both lead and work with your team. We are looking for someone who leads by example.
15. Excellent oral and written communication skills
