Our client, a family run company who specialise in the sales of sofas and beds are looking for a competent and driven Manager to come in and manage the day to day operations of both the store and warehouse based in Gloucester.

You will be responsible for overseeing 6 members of staff as well as the management of customer services, logistics, fulfilment and sales & marketing. As well as constant monitoring of key KPI’s such as delivery success rate, customer satisfaction and order value, volume & upsells.

Working closely with the Directors, you will need to be a highly dedicated and experienced Manager that is willing to take on the responsibility of running both the online & retail stores and the management of the warehouse. Industry knowledge and training will be provided.

Responsibilities:
-Ensuring deliveries are carried out smoothly & effectively with a very high success rate
-Work with couriers and other services to coordinate services for customers
-Handle most of the incoming customer service requests
-Warehouse & inventory management
-Maximise sales volume both in store and online
-Keep in-store and online customer service standards high
-Delivery route planning for the week ahead
-Handle all after sale customer communications to ensure an exceptional delivery & follow up service
-Management of 6 staff across 2 locations & out on the road
-Organise & systemise the warehouse & sales funnel to ensure accurate stock records are kept
-Assist in unloading and loading vans & lorries when required
-Hiring and training new staff members
-Management of staff holidays & sickness

Candidate Attributes:

Hours: Full time hours with weekend working

Full time hours on a temporary basis

The post-holder will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of ambitious, complex and multi-faceted transformation programmes, including elements of system redesign, remodelling of services, behaviour change and delivery of savings.

To be successful, you will need experience of managing ambitious programmes, having used your knowledge of programme management tools and techniques to proactively plan for and coordinate delivery. You’ll also need to bring your strong organisational and creative problem-solving skills to manage competing deadlines and tight timescales, to ensure that the programme is successfully delivered.

Although procurement expertise is not considered essential for this role, it is important that you have an understanding of public sector procurement and that you can use your excellent ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels to ensure a collaborative approach to delivery. We will also need your strong influencing and motivation skills to enthuse, achieve buy-in, and drive change.
