Our warehouse is fast paced and forms an essential part of the depot in delivering the right products to our customers on time. We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Team Manager to support and facilitate the success of the warehouse.

The purpose of this role is to lead a team of Warehouse Operatives on a day-to-day basis ensuring productivity targets and safe working methods are met.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Understand the agreed requirements of internal and/or external customer and deliver on these requirements
• Communicate the required standards to the Warehouse team and ensure they are fully understood
• Train and coach Warehouse staff to achieve set standards
• Monitor team performance and behaviour, where necessary take corrective action to achieve agreed standards
• Complete new starter 3/7/11 reviews and contribute to the decisions on confirmation of employment

Your Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of one or more sites.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Directs the daily activities of the Logistics function, activities include shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse management etc. Generates various warehouse productivity reports, and accounts for all labor hours. Adheres to budget requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and goals.
• Ensure that there is continuous improvement to standard logistics process, such as replenishment, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions and all are effectively implemented as appropriate.
• Build and maintain relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives and resolve customer / operational issues.
• Maintains material availability to meet production schedules and/or to ensure products are shipped per customer requirements.
• Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory, and finished goods, and packaged according to specification.
• Be responsible for provision of all warehouse related required reporting and present reports or information to senior management as required.
• Collaborate with department managers on warehouse related matters, to devise new strategies in relation to inventory control and distribution.
• Participates, coordinates and provides information and recommendations on various programs or projects, e.g. work simplifications, cost reductions, job training, storage area layout, plant material move routes and procedures, wage administration, communication, etc.
• Responsible for warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations. Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
• 5% travel if need

Here is some of what you will need (required):

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 - 7+ years of warehousing / logistics
• Medical Device Manufacturing, Food & Beverage Industry or Automotive experience (Preferred)
• Warehouse Operations experience for large equipment
• Inventory accuracy & Cycle counting
• Expert functional, technical in management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
• Detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
• Problem solving skills / project management experience
• Time management
• Master’s degree (Preferred)
• MBA / PMP (Preferred)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Solid command of MS Office suite

RESPONSIBILITIES

Build a Culture of Working Back from the Customer

• Lead a growth-oriented sales culture to achieve store business performance results.
• Ensure exceptional customer experiences through the application of the Five Below service model that empowers your crew to say yes to customers. 
• Anticipate the needs of the customer and create an amazing store environment. 
• Lead execution and maintenance of all company merchandising and operational standards ensuring consistency with Brand Standards. 
• May lead Crew Member training, execution and maintenance of all Five Below services (balloons, ear piercings, buy online pickup in store, etc...)

Develop a High Performing Crew

• Hire and engage talented employees, with the necessary skills, to be at the right place (i.e., store role) at the right time.
• Ensure people feel cared for and connected to each other and foster a culture that values and appreciates inclusion and diversity. 
• Inspire accountability by providing training, coaching, and consistent feedback to your team. 
• Present facts clearly, coach effectively, and actively listen to inspire trust and respect of direct reports.
• Partner with District Manager and Human Resources for employee coaching / counseling, performance documentation and employee relations matters.
• Maintain an environment that is safe for your customers and crew.
• Execute a talent plan that makes Five Below an employer of choice, attracts quality candidates, and retains the best talent.
• Foster career growth through individual development planning and performance coaching.
• Develop a peer network internally and externally to build strong recruitment and succession planning for your store.

Drive a Consistent Business

• Analyze daily, weekly, monthly business results and pursue ways to drive greater performance level of direct reports. Leverage reports and metrics to make decisions including sales, customer experience, profitability, shrink, payroll, and staffing. 
• Balance competing priorities with a recognition of what is critical.
• Develop and manage payroll budgets and crew schedules that balance financial responsibility with customer expectations and crew availability.
• Ensure the proper execution of all financial management controls, critical controls, and adherence to company policies. 
• Oversee successful receiving and ensure stocking procedures are properly followed and maintained. 
• Ensure the execution of physical inventory and compliance with company data integrity processes.
• Assure that merchandise flow meets company set standards and closely monitor sell through.
• Perform store maintenance including but not limited to taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, maintaining stock room.
• Ensure compliance with all the Five Below Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Review all corporate communications and prioritizes/plans accordingly. 
• Achieve results without compromising quality or integrity of work and adhere to company handbook and policies as well as local, state, and federal laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including services.
