The role
As a Senior Buyer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary, working on a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects. We work with a number of key clients domestically and internationally.
Day-to-day, you'll support our customer contracts and provide all kinds of solutions, from small electrical items to large first level structures and equipment.
- Act as the focal point for internal customers to define materials and services spend requirements for designated projects
- Manage the purchase order process
- Deliver operational excellence and reporting
- Personally lead major supplier relationships dealing with performance issues to conclusion
- Manage and develop internal relationships cross functionally.
- Help develop the pipeline of future opportunities, harnessing relationships with key support partners
This role is full time, 37-hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Senior Buyer
- Demonstratable experience in a procurement role ideally in a Defence or Engineering environment
- Track record of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of data analysis for decision making
Qualifications for the Senior Buyer
- Minimum GCSE grade 4 Maths and English
