In this role, you have the opportunity to
Contribute to the Asia Pacific Procurement function in Philips Health Tech and gain practical Logistics Procurement work experience while you contribute to our Supply Chain strategy. You will be part of a team that source, attract and engage with top suppliers to work alongside our colleagues in improving people’s health and well-being while advancing your learning experience in a dynamic, fast pace and innovative company. You will be supporting the regional procurement team in end-to-end (E2E) logistics sourcing activities with the goal of ensuring that we are attracting and selecting the best suppliers and delivering the best Philips experience to our Customers. This could be through some of the work in daily procurement operations, process improvement as well as strategic sourcing projects.
You are responsible for
- Manage small scale projects in the implementation of global strategy of Supplier Base Rationalization. Support on the analysis or coordination for large scale projects
- Understand saving mechanism of every opportunities implemented. On monthly basis, provide accurate reports on actual savings in a structured, efficient and timely way
- Handle the negotiation and contract amendment triggered by regular contract renewal, scope creep, policy changes, and etc...
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to maintain up-to-date status for the actions agreed during Annual Review Meetings
- Any other projects as assigned by the line manager
You are a part of
You will be part of a lean and nimble procurement team consists of experienced logistics and Supply Chain professionals. You will be based in Singapore collaborating with both domestics and overseas team members. You will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional business teams at various levels of the organization for projects on regional/global scale.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- Currently pursuing a bachelor degree preferably in Logistics or Business related fields;
- Proficient in using Excel & Word & Powerpoint
- Fluent in English
- Prior procurement or logistics related internship experience is an advantage, but not a prerequisite
- Problem solving skills is critical in this role.
- Available to fully commit to January to June 2024
