A department within a higher education organisation are looking for a new Procurement Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Procurement.
Your new role
Within your role as this organisation's Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:
- The leadership of two Procurement Analysts as well as some junior members of the Procurement
- Relationship engagement & maintenance with new and existing stakeholders.
- Prior planning of future end-to-end Procurement activities within the organisation.
- Direction and advice within the Procurement process.
- Providing leadership within category spending areas
- Identifying market trends through liaising with suppliers.
- Category of STEAM and Professional services Procurement.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for the Procurement Manager role, you must have a CIPS (Chartered institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualification, ideally at level 4 or level 5. Ideally, you'll have worked within a Public sector organisation where you'll have developed an understanding of OJEU legislation; (Please note that OJEU experience is not crucial to your application.)
The successful applicant for the Procurement Manager role would also have experience in procuring laboratory equipment. As well as strong negotiation and communication skills to regularly liaise with stakeholders old and new.
