Supplier Relationship Management

Pricing Negotiation

• Negotiate aggressively but fairly to ensure best cost price to the company at all times.

Purchasing & Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate and complete weekly/monthly forecasts for processors that ensure supply to the company is prioritized and pricing competitiveness over-indexes on current volumes.

• Ensure slow moving stock is cleared well before expiry date, to minimize obsolescence and write-off.
• Work closely with Inventory team to ensure space capacity and inventory planning are aligned with incoming shipments prior to stock ordering.
• Plan and execute stock replenishment by way of purchase orders.

Category Management

• Analyze market and consumption trends, the competitive landscape, supply-chain movements and processor/production volumes to identify opportunities and threats within the category.
• Maintain understanding of the price drivers affecting pricing per product SKU into Singapore and its impact on buy/hold/clear position that the company needs to take.
• Develop and implement category strategies to achieve business objectives and goals that support market and sales team opportunities for growth
• Work closely with the sales and business development teams curate a product assortment within the category, considering factors like product supply continuity, quality, pricing, and consumer demand.
• Identify new products/suppliers that fulfil range gaps whether due to changing supplier circumstances or new growth opportunities.
• Monitor and manage the performance of products to continually identify poor performing lines for delisting and identify new product opportunities that will enhance the product range offer.
• Ensure that all products meet relevant importation regulations and food safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Business, Supply Chain or any relevant disciplines
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing, preferably within the food industry.
• Possess strong negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building skills
• Proficiency in market analysis and inventory management.

The Responsibilities:

Manage Inventory Performance

• Perform daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation between client SAP and internal company WMS; report operations performance on inventory transaction accuracy
• Drive timely correction of system errors. Investigate errors and drive improvement in inventory process to achieve 100% accuracy

Manage EDI Failures

• Investigate failure, report out findings
• Implement interim controls
• Work with internal IT to resolve issue
• Understand the impact of work practice on EDI errors

Drive Compliance

• Maintain list of all client’s procedures

• Be the key person between store team and District Manager to relay information and provide feedback concerning the store.

Accountabilities:

Primary

Sales & Business Acumen

• Take full ownership of the store and its commercial success.
• Manage the controllable operating expenses to keep within the agreed budget.
• Analyze relevant data to probe and challenge the status quo.
• Address identified improvement areas, involving the District Manager or other Retail Back Office partners as needed.
• Drive continuous improvements in the store’s sales, productivity and profitability.
• Ensure the legal and financial integrity of the store.

Customer Service

• Lead service by example, maximizing the amount of time spent selling and leading team members on the sales floor.
• Ensure there is always a manager on duty on the sales floor, focusing team members on the customer and on selling when you are not able to assume the responsibility yourself.
• Schedule staff so as to properly serve customers, drive sales and execute tasks.

Brand and Products

• Be a Brand Ambassador, consistently exhibiting the Brand Attitude and Values.
• Ensure proper in-store Brand execution according to established standards and directives.
• Ensure all store team members are trained on Foundational and Seasonal Brand and product knowledge.

Operations and Processes

• Manage all store operations in a systematic and efficient manner, as per established policies and procedures.
• Manage the annual leave plan of the store, ensuring sufficient manpower for the operations.
• Direct the shop operation on a daily basis to ensure delivery of commercial targets.
• Ensure all established Visual Merchandising and In-Store Communication standards are consistently executed and maintained in the store.
• Ensure merchandise deliveries are processed on the same day they arrive and the store’s entire product offer is made immediately available and easily accessible to customers on a consistent basis .
• Ensure cash register transactions are processed quickly and accurately.
• Lead and implement all applicable loss prevention policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and productive shopping and working environment.
• Implement seasonal/quarterly merchandise launch and in-store marketing promotion.
• Participate in planning & presenting monthly team meetings.
• Work with Merchandising Team and Warehouse Team to ensure stock availability and delivery in order to achieve sales targets.
• Inventory management - Prepare, manage & execute accurate bi-yearly stocktake to avoid product shrinkage.
• Provide monthly consumer and retail feedback to all retail adidas related teams.
• Ensure offices and stockroom are clean and provide for a good working environment.
• Work with Manager, Retail Operations to execute Mystery shopper program and implementing corrective actions plans.

Teamwork and Leadership

• Manage and coordinate the recruitment with HR/District Manager and ensure training of store team members.
• Ensure all HR policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Create a high performance culture by setting clear expectations, analyzing performance and giving appropriate and prompt feedback, including actively managing poor performance.
• Work with the District Manager to identify and develop select strong performers with potential for growth along the Retail Field Career Ladder.
• Share best practices to drive the collective performance of all district stores.
• Complete all applicable training programs and effectively apply the learning on the job.
• Seek coaching and learning opportunities to continually improve your performance development and increase performance.
• Plan and implement the Recognition Program.
• Ensure staff receive on the job coaching, mentoring & education.

Professional background/ Experience:

• Functional: Minimum 3 years experience in Store Management and in a supervisory role
• Industry: Preferably in apparel/ fashion/ FW or FMCG
• Retail Exposure: Sports, Fashion
• Education: Degree or Diploma in Retail Management / Marketing
