Your new role
You will be supporting the Procurement Director in establishing the value of procurement, with a direct focus on leading and managing the IT Category. You will be managing £50m worth of spend, as well as direct management of a small team reporting to you. The principal part of this role will be the full E2E procurement process of the IT category. A Market Data Category manager will be reporting into you, so market data exposure would be desirable.

What you'll need to succeed
You will NEED to have predominant exposure to category management of IT - any other profiles won't be considered. You must have an innovative mindset in order to support the development of the entire procurement function. You will need to have great interpersonal and communication skills when engaging stakeholders and suppliers, as well as exposure managing people. You will need to have a good understanding of the market, products and services in the IT category with great stakeholder engagement to help centralise procurement.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have prior experience in indirect procurement with notable projects in IT/ HR/ marketing spend - or at least two of the three. You will have great stakeholder and supplier engagement skills, and ideally have experience working across an international supply base.
