Job Description

• A growing company specialized in collectible series is looking for Procurement Engineer to join the team dealing with purchasing of OEM products
• Understand clients’ requirement – study blue print, obtain models and photos
• Collect videos of the dynamic features
• Work with 2D & 3D creative freelance and sound engineers
• Supply all necessary materials to the vendor/factory to proceed with 3D creation and reverse-engineering
• Integrate regulation and safety constraints in the product design
• Evaluate the mechanics, the electronics and software solutions selected by the factory
• Verify the BOM list
• Check the 3D files (STEP, STL, OBJ, …), prototypes, mold layout and coordinate changes
• Check the samples (preproduction, and production), and suggest improvements when needed
• Assist in the verification of the QC inspection reports
• Build good rapport with clients
• Need to travel overseas to visit factories in China when necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics)
• Relevant experience as an Engineer in the development of consumer products
• Proficient in Excel spreadsheets as well as 3D files (STL, OBJ, STEP)
• Some experience handling the China market/ Chinese suppliers is advantageous.
• Able to liaise between clients and vendors
• Able to work independently and multitask
• Well organized and able to manage project timeline, deliveries

• Obtaining serial numbers from products manually
• Pick items and prepare consignment note before sending to contractor
• Check on standard (non-customized) items
• Check on customized items (with the support from Engineer)
• Product labels (with the support from Engineer on the content to print)
• Photo uploading to shared folder (Engineer to review photos)
• Unpacking, packing and despatching packages.

An established Chemical MNC base in the west area has a new headcount for a Procurement Executive for their food ingredient related division.

Duties:

• Take care of full procurement functions which includes understanding requirements from sales and liaise with suppliers on requirements as well as performing evaluation, negotiation and awarding of orders .
• Perform sourcing that includes RFP/tender.
• Ensure alternative suppliers pipelines are developed and coordinate their qualification and approval.
• Manage suppliers and monitor to ensure product quality, pricing and services are align to company's interest.
• Communicate with Sales and Supply Chain team on supply / delivery related matters for contract.
• Engage and work with suppliers for regulatory documentation support for sales team.
• Follow up with sales team on projects status and provide feedback to supplier.
• Take note of market trends and ensure information are shared with sales team
• Other Ad-hoc assignment by Superior.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Chemistry or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Food and Beverage, Food Ingredient or Chemical Trading industry.
• Possess experience in vendor management and contract negotiations will be an advantage.
• Able to work independently under minimal supervision, self motivated, proactive and a team player.
• Able to communicate well with good interpersonal skills and able to work in fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

· Sourcing goods, materials, and services at competitive prices to support manufacturing operations.

· Issue purchase orders

· Manage the approved vendor list which includes assessing supplier performance.

· Manage the shipping schedules and custom clearances of purchased materials.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent is required.

· Experience working in the procurement department and technical sourcing in an operations and manufacturing field

· Understand basic engineering principles

· Proficient in SAP.

· Job will also require the performance of other duties and activities as directed.
