活動執行人員職責：

Develop and present special programs that promote development of good study skills and writing practices. Prepare and conduct seminars on student academic survival skills and writing enhancement strategies.

Perform writing center program evaluation duties. Assist with accurate compilation and production of reports that provide statistical evaluation of program effectiveness,

Develop and maintain materials in support of university learning writing center and university educational programs.

Brief academic program directors and other faculty members effectively on writing center programs, as required. Provide accurate guidance and assistance to university academic programs.

Present informational seminars at university teaching and learning center and other facilities as well as online to aid faculty in grasping Writing Center capabilities.

This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated December 22, 2023.

As a CONTRACT SPECIALIST at the GS-1102-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Serves as a Contract Specialist executing and administering contracts in support of DMA, OASD/PA.
• Experience ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) as well as DoD directives, policies, and instructions governing acquisition and procurement.
• Experience with pre-award and post-award procedures for assigned contracts including formal advertising or negotiation procedures, evaluation of contract price proposals, and the administration and termination/close out of the contract.
• Experience interpreting and applying acquisition laws, policies, directives and regulations.
• Providing acquisition advice to the DMA Director, and senior leadership.
• Utilizing the Standard Procurement System (SPS), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Electronic Document Access, Federal Procurement Data System- Next Generation (FPDS-NG), System for Award Management (SAM) and other DoD-mandated acquisition, procurement, and financial applications and systems.
• Serves as a technical expert on contractual and business matters.
• Provides expert advice and sound business solutions to high-visibility or enterprise-wide acquisition strategies including appropriate contract types, source selection criteria, cost and pricing issues, and appropriate contract terms and conditions.
• Utilizes a variety of contract types and pricing arrangements.

As a Health Communication Specialist you will:

• Develop and implement communication and marketing programs, projects, and strategies for the general public and other audiences.
• Develop, test, and disseminate science and audience-based products, tools, and messages to different audiences in a variety of formats.
• Support strategic plans to achieve health communication and marketing goals and objectives.
• Apply communication theories and models to communication campaign development.
• Serve as a liaison between program and other communication and marketing staff and with external stakeholders on program-specific issues.
• Review and edit materials developed by staff to ensure program objectives are being met.

• Manage and maintain web-based solutions and new media tools that are used to advance public understanding and engagement in important public policy initiatives.
• Serves as a lead for public outreach to enhance public knowledge of the Bureau, the public lands, and their various resources, particularly with the new media.
• Provide consistent, coordinated, timely and accurate information shared across social media platforms.
• Develop new media strategies to inform and educate the public, interest groups, and public land users.
• Serve as the writer and editor for a weekly electronic newsletter, Newsbytes.
• Create successful campaigns using Facebook, Twitter/X, Flickr, YouTube and other social media tools, and executes outreach campaigns accurately and efficiently.
• Work with outside agencies and organizations to promote understanding, support, and cooperation regarding the BLM's multiple-use mission through the use of new media.
• Coordinate media coverage of BLM issues, programs, and activities and arranges interviews with managers and subject matter experts.

• Plans, establishes and implements workflow methods, makes recommendations on current practices and procedures, and advises subordinates on the implementation of new and improved procedures.
• Assess the needs of subordinates' access to automated data systems, i.e., Oracle, PROBE and WebTA.
• Conducts walk-thru’s of all work areas, during the course of an eight-hour shift at a minimum
• Provides contract oversight as the Contract Officer Representative (COR) or through the assigned COR
• Establishes work flow and methods, overall goals, and standards to meet and support the mission of GPO.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a Public Affair Specialist (Digital Information/Social Media), you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:

• Communicating with leadership, centers and offices to create engaging content for social media. Ensuring communication, visual standards, brand standards are met.
• Serving as a consultant and catalyst for improving the way SAMHSA delivers information to its employees and the public via its digital platforms. As a change agent and strategic thinker, constantly explores how people seek and ingest information and how emerging technologies and practices can be applied in the digital communications environment.
• Effectively utilizing data to identify audience(s) and create clear and creative messaging strategies.
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas verbally, in writing and visually, maintaining strong relationships.
• Directing the overall production of visual elements for social media posts including graphics and videos.
• Facilitating consensus-building with clients and subject matter experts related to digital projects and using diplomacy in communications with others; maintaining effective relationships with communication staffs and teams throughout the Agency.

Job Description

Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the Education Service Plan and the Community Plan.

Requirements

The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council. The Individual

This is a temporary part time, term time post based at Crosshouse Communication Centre, Crosshouse. The hours of work will be 27.5 hours per week to be worked Monday - Friday and at the direction of the Line Manager.

The full time salary of the post is between £24,333 - £25,353 per annum.

The actual part time term time salary is between £16,398 - £17,085 per annum.

This is a temporary post up until 30th June 2025.
