Must be mobile and may be subject to irregular duty hours for event coverage after hours and weekends to offer media support/live streaming to our social media platforms. Prepares video presentations to promote FSS events and activities.

Maintains social media content including, but not limited to; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & Mobile Application. Tracks user analytics for each social media platform. Continuously explores, recommends, uses, and optimizes communication methods and technologies to engage with customers and to maximize the squadron's branding, products, and services. Identifies relevant new strategies and technology to increase customer engagement and to create online brand exposure. Makes use of a variety of artistic techniques through video/design software for digital media. Administers surveys, focus groups, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists the Marketing Director in analyzing results. Makes recommendations to the Marketing Director on program modifications and enhancements. Assists the Marketing Director in developing communication strategies to determine the most effective and efficient method of reaching the target market. • Serves as a digital/social media, videographer, and photojournalism strategist by leveraging broad knowledge of social media, online presence tactics, photojournalist storytelling, and video for internal and external communications.

The Technical Editor implements and maintains editorial policies, standards, styles for the program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensures that documents are well-structured, concise, and adhere to industry and organization-specific standards.

Collaborates with researchers and subject matter experts to gather information and conduct in-depth research for document creation.

Receives text from technical staff and rewrites documentation in a clear and concise style.

Reviews and edits documents for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to organizational guidelines.

Follows procedures and formats, researches, edits, proofreads, rewrites and authenticates technical data for use in routine documents or sections of documents such as program deliverables including content displayed in courseware and complex media.

Ensures content meets editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style.

May rewrite short passages for greater clarity subject to author approval.

Communicates with instructional design teams to resolve stylistic problems.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
