The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a senior publications editor utilizing strategic, tactical and operational communication procedures to develop informational materials that inform leadership and personnel of DAF policies, programs, services, and activities related to resilience and interpersonal and self-directed violence (ISDV) prevention and sexual assault response, hereinafter referred to as Integrated Resilience, at all levels within the Department of Air Force (DAF). Responsible for ensuring A1Z communications reflect the content and the spirit of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and DAF guidance.

• Performs writing-editing duties for A1Z print products, social media, briefs, and articles.
• Supports special projects and assignments, communication strategy development and execution, and develops key messages to effectively communicate AF/A1Z strategies, policies, and objectives across the department.
• Develops and coordinates Public Affairs, security, and policy review activities.
• Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with DAF, DoD, federal entities and private sector.

Develop and present special programs that promote development of good study skills and writing practices. Prepare and conduct seminars on student academic survival skills and writing enhancement strategies.

Perform writing center program evaluation duties. Assist with accurate compilation and production of reports that provide statistical evaluation of program effectiveness,

Develop and maintain materials in support of university learning writing center and university educational programs.

Brief academic program directors and other faculty members effectively on writing center programs, as required. Provide accurate guidance and assistance to university academic programs.

Present informational seminars at university teaching and learning center and other facilities as well as online to aid faculty in grasping Writing Center capabilities.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:

• Develops and implements strategic communication plans to support PFPA initiatives and objectives.
• The incumbent drafts speeches and talking points for PFPA Senior Executives and DoD senior officials.
• Assigns special assignments and project to subordinates and ensure work is accomplished in a timely manner and meets the overall intent.
• Manages the policies, development, execution, and maintenance of the agency's three websites (internet, intranet, and extranet) with respect to disseminating information within PFPA and to local law enforcement organizations, security agencies, Military Departments, and the general public.
• Attends workshops, webinars, and courses to stay updated on the latest communication tools and techniques.

• Serves as a Policy Writer in the Synchronization Division, Policy Branch of the ARCP for the development of Army regulations and procedures.
• Prepares long- and short- range planning guidance in accordance with broad agency program policies and objectives.

This Technical Writer-Editor position is located Operations Support, Intelligence and Analysis, Field Intelligence and Integration Division, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supports the writing, briefing, and report development efforts of Intelligence & Analysis organizations and contributes to the style guides, production standard operating procedures, and associated training for employees and managers.
• Reworks draft publications to ensure clear, concise, and accurate written intelligence products.
• Coordinates the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Administrator's Daily Intelligence Briefing by contributing to the editing, formatting, and distribution of all associated intelligence products and reports.
• Conducts outreach with other organizations, including attending regular secure video teleconferences and meetings to review intelligence products and production processes in conjunction with the editorial staff and partner agencies within the DHS Intelligence Enterprise and Intelligence Community to resolve style and editorial differences and make recommendations to TSA IA intelligence specialist on potential joint intelligence production opportunities.
• Serves as liaison to interagency or intergovernmental teams or standing committees addressing methods for writing and editing to convey highly complex concepts using sensitive security information to meet the requirements of TSA's customers at multiple classification levels without compromising any classified material or disclosing intelligence sources and methods.

Responsible for implementing and overseeing 354 FSS content/social media program strategy. Under the direct supervision of the Supervisory Marketing Director, within guidelines, develops FSS strategy and implements tactical plans including building traffic, inciting engagement and growing community social media involvement and tracking and reporting metrics. Responsible for creating, editing, publishing, administering, and removing social media content. Must be mobile and may be subject to irregular duty hours for event coverage after hours and weekends to offer media support/live streaming to our social media platforms. Prepares video presentations to promote FSS events and activities.

Maintains social media content including, but not limited to; Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & Mobile Application. Tracks user analytics for each social media platform. Continuously explores, recommends, uses, and optimizes communication methods and technologies to engage with customers and to maximize the squadron's branding, products, and services. Identifies relevant new strategies and technology to increase customer engagement and to create online brand exposure. Makes use of a variety of artistic techniques through video/design software for digital media. Administers surveys, focus groups, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists the Marketing Director in analyzing results. Makes recommendations to the Marketing Director on program modifications and enhancements. Assists the Marketing Director in developing communication strategies to determine the most effective and efficient method of reaching the target market. Assists in the distribution of publicity materials to all activities.

This Writer-Editor position is located in Enterprise Support (ES), Operations Management (OM), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Under limited minimal direction of a manager or supervisor writes and edits high-quality products that effectively explain and interpret the Agency's stance on various transportation security issues.
• Serves as the primary writer/editor supporting the researching, writing, editing, and coordinating of materials for signature by TSA management officials. Supports the development and management of the TSA Style Guide, Correspondence Manual and correspondence standard operating procedures, and leads associated training for employees across TSA - headquarters and field.
• Acts as editorial advisor to program analysts and personnel in the Agency for condolence, retirement, and employee recognition correspondence signed by the Administrator in addition to other correspondence signed by TSA management officials. Helps to identify process improvements related to writing and review; provides solutions to program offices' writing challenges; reviews executive-level correspondence and reports for adherence to TSA, DHS, and component styles and standards; and advises program offices on correspondence standards and processes.
• Participates in TSA teams to review writing and editorial policies and guidelines, resolve style and editorial differences, and make recommendations for updating these requirements consistent with office priorities, program needs, and federal plain language best practices.

• Provides emergency 911 and dispatching services. Determines the nature of the emergency in accordance with established guidelines.
• Provides medical response dispatch services to callers. Incumbent verifies the location and call back number for a medical patient and determines the severity of the emergency situations in accordance with 97 MDG approved protocols.
• Maintains maps, checklists and charts, including automated programs.
• Operates and maintains telephones, automated data processing equipment, printers, recorders, facsimile equipment, and other devices installed in the dispatch center.
• Prepares and maintains reports and records relating to emergency responses.
• Performs Civil Engineer Service Call operations. Incumbent serves as single point of contact to receive and verify work requirements and refer emergency request to the appropriate civil engineer shop standby personnel during after duty hours, down days, and holidays.

Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to develop, plan, organize, administer and instruct within the Air University Teaching and Learning Center's writing programs. Develops and administers Writing Center tutor training programs.
