A fantastic education institute is seeking their next Senior PR and Communications Officer to join a small and friendly team at an exciting time within the organisation!
Your new role
An exciting, dynamic and rewarding role within the organisation's PR and Comms team, the new Senior Media and PR Officer will be a confident communications practitioner who is highly experienced in everything media relations and corporate comms - from having a great sense for a strong news story and a cool head for issues management; to being able to turn around strong, accurate copy quickly and having excellent proofing and editing skills.

What you'll need to succeed

• Ability to enhance the organisation's reputation
• Creative personality: someone who thrives on finding, developing and delivering stories, copying, content and effective media campaigns.
• Develop good internal relationships to help proactively generate stories for the organisation.
• Able to utilise a range of communication tactics to then deliver and promote these stories to the right media outlets.
• Able to respond to media enquiries quickly and sensitively, spot opportunities to place comments by academic experts on breaking news stories,
• Have excellent writing skills, which include being able to turn complex subject matters into engaging copy and content.
• Good crisis communications experience and be comfortable and capable of handling reactive issues calmly, as well as with care and sensitivity.
• Able to maintain a good knowledge of current affairs, and in particular be on top of developments in the higher education sector to be able to effectively communicate the organisations position on these.
