Your new role
Acting for an enviable national and international client base ranging from streaming services, studios and on-line platforms, to global tech giants and large multinational companies, you will have access to a broad range of high quality Digital Media and Entertainment advisory work. You will have a specific focus on providing your clients with regulatory advice on the development in the current regulations shaping the digital, consumer and media industries domestically and internationally. Joining a cross-office national team of over 60 lawyers, you will join one of the UK's leading advisory teams in this sector.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have sound knowledge and experience of providing expert regulatory advice in the digital media sector and be comfortable providing cross-jurisdictional advice. Experience of working for a leading digital team in private practice is paramount, though experience in-house would also be of interest.

Tate are delighted to be working in partnership with a local authority in Bristol City Centre, to recruit an Employee Engagement and Communication Consultant on a temporary basis! This position will be mainly remote based however you will need to be able to attend meetings in Bristol City Centre on a regular basis.

This is an exciting role requiring you to have previous experience within communications and employee engagement, and we are looking for someone who can bring a fresh mindset and can do attitude to this large local authority.

Essential Requirements

• A degree or relevant equivalent industry or vocational qualification, and/or substantial experience of working in a communications or employee engagement role.
• Experience and understanding of a variety of innovative tools and techniques that can be used to change attitudes, perceptions and behaviours, including experience of using digital channels.
• Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to write concisely, accurately and in an engaging way for a variety of audiences: Being able to create, edit, proof and present information effectively in different formats.
• Practical skill in developing and delivering integrated communications and employee engagement strategies to meet project outcomes and timescales.
• Confident working under pressure, to deadlines and while managing multiple projects simultaneously; with a track record of delivering on time.
• Ability to offer communications and employee engagement advice to officers at all levels, including having confidence to negotiate and liaise with senior managers. Credible champion of communication activity that adds value, with the ability to assess and influence where and how this is delivered.
• Finding solutions to meet business and reputational requirements whilst providing excellent service to clients. Good problem-solving skills, including working within limited budgets and timeframes.
• To work effectively as part of a team whilst also being able to work independently and make confident decisions.
• Proven ability to critically research, monitor and evaluate communication and employee engagement activity in order to seek continual improvement in the service provided to clients.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and/or experience of equality and diversity issues.
• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft office applications or equivalent including the following: email (outlook or equivalent), word processing (word or equivalent), spreadsheets (excel or equivalent) using the internet (internet explorer or equivalent) Have a willingness to learn new applications and technology as appropriate.

Desirable Requirements

• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Marketing or the Chartered Institute of Public Relations or other recognised organisation.
