SENIOR MIS – REPORT WRITER

Salary: £26,997 - £30,656 being Professional Services Band 8, points 29-34.
Contract Type: Permanent, full time, 37 hours, 52 weeks.
Location: Paignton, Devon
We are recruiting for a Senior MIS Report Writer to ensure stakeholders are provided with comprehensive, reliable, and up to date information and reporting services. The information produced will be used to inform business decisions up to strategic management level.
Key Tasks:
• To provide versatile data analysis through the creation and development of reporting services.
• Provide comprehensive, reliable, relevant and up to date management information to all internal and external stakeholders.
• Design, development, and maintenance of the College’s suite of reports to cover all College-wide information requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and make these reports available through appropriate interfaces.
• Have an excellent understanding of relational databases and be able to extract information using advanced SQL.
The successful candidate will hold a Level 2 Maths and English or equivalent qualification and a degree or equivalent experience in computing. You will also need the ability to interpret and present accurate, complex concepts, data, and information, knowledge of SQL querying, be highly capable and experienced in using Microsoft Office software, have excellent problem-solving skills, excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal, enthusiasm and willingness to develop the role.
