JOB SUMMARY
This job supports Customer Strategy Division and is primarily responsible for the development of clinical and healthcare-related content of client-facing materials that will optimize strategic messaging and communications. Performs extensive edits of materials to ensure that content is accurate, forward-thinking, strategic, relevant and meaningful. Together with designated colleagues, this position coordinates the RFI and RFP responses from the Health Plan. This position substantiates the Highmark mission, provides product differentiation, and contributes to the retention of Clients and acquisition of new business by providing client-specific responses with emphasis on market differentiation with Highmark’s clinical and product capabilities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, write and edit clinical, product and healthcare content to respond to RFI/RFP sections that have been assigned by the Sales Messaging Team. Ensure that RFI/RFP responses are consistent, clear, progressive and customized for the client, industry, market, etc.
- Collaborate with appropriate clinical, product and healthcare Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop responses to unanswered and/or anticipated strategic questions.
- Facilitate regular strategic planning sessions with appropriate SMEs to stay abreast of changes to Highmark’s capabilities, product offerings, marketing strategies and differentiators to build and maintain an RFI/RFP library that has been vetted and approved by the appropriate area's SMEs.
- Collaborate with the Customer Strategy Content Strategists and Sales Messaging teams to write and edit clinical and product content that leads to the development of client-facing materials, including strategic and proactive narratives for critical Highmark initiatives.
- Research and develop scientifically-based extrapolations that support potential cost-avoidance for preventable health risks. Work with the clinical and Customer Strategy teams to develop scenarios in which they are applied consistently.

EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a Clinical field (eg. Nursing, Exercise Science, Behavioral Health, Nutrition, etc.)
Substitutions
- Six (6) years experience in the health insurance industry.
Preferred
EXPERIENCE
Minimum
- 5 years experience in health care and the health insurance industry.
- 5 years experience and excellence in writing and editing health communications
- 3 years analytic experience and strategic thinking.

Pay Range Minimum:
$57,700.00
Pay Range Maximum:
$106,700.00
Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
