To maximise all GC&E KPI’s through driving the commercial GC&E strategy of multiple hotels within the London Cluster; working closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment between on property commercial teams and The Cluster. The GC&E Commercial Manager will be leading a GC&E Manager and GC&E Executives to drive performance while ensuring retention and development via succession plan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensure consistent and clear communication between on property commercial team and The Cluster

· Ensure alignment of all stakeholders on commercial strategy

· Ensure that sales and pricing strategies are based on sound commercial judgement through effective analysis and reporting

· Ensure professional and efficient utilization of all systems, in line with company best practices and standard operating procedures

· Ensure effective information gathering and analysis is conducted in order to identify and maximise on all possible opportunities and minimise any risks

· Ensure that relevant commercial team members (on property & within the The Cluster) are actively engaged in all GC&E strategic decisions by maintaining regular communication to effectively implement, drive and review optimal GC&E strategies and controls

· Integrate with other functions to ensure we exceed our stakeholder’s expectations

· Ownership of Demand Calendar ensuring relevant and up-to-date pricing strategy as agreed with hotel commercial team

· Analysis and Reporting: Prepares reporting and provides critical analysis to support commercial decisions regarding GC&E strategies

· Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepares all weekly and monthly C&E forecasts and supports with yearly budgets as appropriate using standard systems and tools

· Quote rates independently, only if over threshold that the stakeholder approval is required

· Providing on the Job Coaching / Training to the GC&E team

· Coaching GC&E Manager, supporting with the leadership/recruitment of the GC&E team.

· Commercial coaching of the GC&E Manager.

· Contribute to the Leadership team of The Cluster, drive Commercial, and Team activities (Conversion weeks, celebrations…)

KEY COMPETENCIES:

· Practical working experience within GC&E or commercial function

· Competent at Excel, PowerPoint & Word

· Strong Analytical Skills

· Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing

· Strong competencies in Leadership, Planning and Organising, Communication and Influencing

· Commercial attitude and proactive sales approach

· Clear voice & well spoken

· Ability to analyse data and identify trends

· Competitive and motivated

· Strong leadership experience (+2 year of Leadership experience in a Commercial role)
