Intelligence Communication and Network Engineer
The Opportunity:
With all the information available today, it takes a skilled intelligence analyst to know how to find and interpret the best data to give their clients the right answers. With the critical decisions made in our military every day, we need an intel analyst like you to do just that. As a network engineer for classified systems on our team, you will use your experience in network design and architecture to support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You will upgrade, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex network issues, maximize performance, analyze working infrastructure, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You will apply your expertise in routing and switching, integration of encryption gear, network design and architecture, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing, and forwarding as you guide our team of problem-solvers to help evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies.

You Have:
- 12+ years of experience in IT or network engineering domains
- Experience with administering SCI Net and designing intelligence community (IC) or customer mission networks
- Experience with administering networks with diverse operating systems, including Windows or Linux, and maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Experience with hybrid cloud network design and operations, including designing, building, and configuring hybrid virtual or physical networks based on specific mission requirements
- Experience with installing network hardware and software
- Experience with virtual machines and administration of VMWare ESXi servers and with cloud-based networking technologies, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) and Network Security Groups (NSGs)
- Experience working with routing policies, network architecture, IP subnetting and configuring, and racking cabling routers, switches, and network appliances
- Experience working with access control and network layer administration
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
- Experience as a Cisco Network Architect
- Experience in NetApp design and programming
- Experience on teams handling network upscaling, storage growth, and executing migration effort
- Experience with security tools and devices, including packet inspection, network monitoring, web proxy, intrusion prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools
- Experience working with network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, UPD, BGP, and OSPF
- Knowledge of basic scripting in support of automation tasks, including Python, Perl, Bash, and PowerShell
- Knowledge of network orchestration and automation
- Ability to design a software storage and maintenance network and repository
- Bachelor's degree
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4, Security+, CCNA, CCNP, CCST, JNCIA, or Network+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
