The Senior Specialist - Social Media works in the social team as part of the creative content team to deliver the day-to-day content across the club’s social platforms. This includes content creation and publication of organic, branded, sponsored, marketing and comms content. The focus is on overall growth of all of LFC’s social channels, maintaining and growing engagement levels and maximising on conversion metrics where applicable, e.g. driving traffic to owned and operated platforms.
About the role
- Responsible for daily publication of content on the club’s social media platforms
- Responsible daily for conception, production, and delivery of social first content
- Work with wider team to shape how the club presents itself to fans worldwide across social media through the introduction of creative new ideas and concepts and formats, with a strong focus on video and graphics.
- Work in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders including the Content, Graphics, Commercial and Marketing teams on the creation and delivery of branded content and paid campaigns.
- Work as part of the wider team to help ideate, conceive and execute innovative and dynamic ideas
- Play a part in ensuring that the Club is at the forefront of social media innovation and best practice, maintaining a sharp eye on our competitor set and other influential content creators/social media accounts
- Provide matchday social media coverage at Anfield and at away matches across all competitions Premier League, European competitions, WSL and Academy.
- Be aware of and use research/analysis and measurement and use social analytics in collaboration with other departments
You will have…
- Good knowledge of LFC’s squad, players, managers, coaching staff across all men’s, women's and youth teams
- Use top class sport knowledge, with sharp football insight to generate content that works to KPIs and goals
- Ability to work within a cross functional media and marketing team to deliver club campaigns
- Excellent knowledge of social platforms focussing on (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, WhatsApp etc
- Ability to react fast to real-time situations and be make confident and considered decisions
- Strong editorial judgement around crafting and posting content in pressure situations
You will have these technical Skills
- Collaborative working skills specifically with and in cross functional teams
- Experience of social media logistic platforms for scheduling, approving, publishing, tagging and reporting
- Competent at capturing suitable social media content on a mobile phone
- Experience of creating video and GFX content using template-based tools and/or Adobe Creative Studio (Photoshop, Premiere), Tellyo/Grabyo, Opta Match Graphics etc.
- Ability to report on content performance
