As a Plate Printer Supervisor, you will:

• Assign, direct, and review through subordinate supervisors or personally the work of subordinates, and evaluate their work performance.
• Resolve problems related to the work supervised and determine materials and equipment necessary to complete currency order.
• Deal with employees and union representatives regarding employee suggestions, complaints, grievances, and perform a variety of administrative and other ministerial duties attendant to the sections production responsibilities.

• Assists in starting equipment via touch screen, adjusts and help operate a variety of automatic bindery machines containing multiple functions and station capabilities.
• Assists in combining electro-mechanically with other equipment and devices to produce a complete bindery and finishing unit that processes printed sheets into final books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines or other completed products.
• Assists in making needed adjustments to coordinate the multiple workstations on a single machine.
• Observes how to interpret job orders, which may be for one-of-a-kind materials; documents how to plan bindery operations utilizing the most efficient procedures and methods to meet job requirements to complete a combined finishing operation.
• Shadows Bindery Operators in inspecting the work-in-process throughout the manufacturing process of U.S. Passports, Passport related components, Smart Cards, and Smart Card related components.

• Plans, establishes and implements workflow methods, makes recommendations on current practices and procedures, and advises subordinates on the implementation of new and improved procedures.
• Assess the needs of subordinates' access to automated data systems, i.e., Oracle, PROBE and WebTA.
• Conducts walk-thru’s of all work areas, during the course of an eight-hour shift at a minimum
• Provides contract oversight as the Contract Officer Representative (COR) or through the assigned COR
• Establishes work flow and methods, overall goals, and standards to meet and support the mission of GPO.

As an Information Technology Specialist (SYSADMIN), you will:

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for new enterprise wide infrastructure deployments in the Microsoft Windows infrastructure including Active Directory, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Physical and Virtual Servers, HyperVisors, networking, data management (backup/restore) and Storage Area Networks.
• Design and develop prototypes, evaluate new infrastructure systems, and plans and develop the deployment approach for the system integration, operation, and management of large scale implementations of high-level and/or wide-spread systems that constitute new enterprise-class systems.

• Direct and monitor the Bureau's internal control, product accountability, and internal quality audit program to provide reasonable assurance that assets are safeguarded from loss, misuse, or misappropriation, and to ensure conformance with the Bureau's quality management system.

The Office of Strategic Communication is responsible for using communication to help the agency meet its mission and business goals. Major duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Plans and leads a comprehensive and integrated public affairs program across the Office of Strategic Communication and agency service lines and offices that advance agency programs, goals, priorities or public policy initiatives, including developing standards operating
procedures as well as communication policy and procedures for handling sensitive information.

Advises management on the public affairs impact of proposed changes to agency programs, policies, and operations, including ensuring leadership has critical information with which to respond to urgent issues and ensuring enterprise staff and partners are aware of
information and the supporting rationale to respond to issues.

Supervises and oversees the research, writing, editing, and production of plans, products, public affairs materials and information (e.g., newsletters, press releases, news articles for publication in newspapers or periodicals, internal communications, explanatory materials,
etc.) about GSA activities and mission which build mutual understanding between the GSA and with partners, communities, and national and international organizations.
