Job Opportunity: Media Relations Lead at British Transport Police (BTP)

Position: Media Relations Lead
Location: British Transport Police Headquarters
Contract Type: Initial 12-week contract (with the possibility of extension)
Rate: £550-£600 per day
Vetting Level: Management Vetting (SC Clearance required)
About the Role:
As the Media Relations Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting BTP's strategic objectives by leading and coordinating all aspects of media relations, both traditional and digital. You will manage the media relations team, oversee day-to-day operations of the media relations desk, and provide expert advice on managing high-profile cases and crisis communications.
Key Responsibilities:

• Set and execute strategic direction for media relations across BTP.
• Lead the social media policy and digital communications strategy.
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders, including the Chief Constable.
• Manage media relations campaigns aimed at changing public behavior and perceptions.
• Lead and coordinate the media response to critical incidents.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.

Essential Experience:

• Extensive experience in a press office or newsroom environment.
• Proven track record in crisis communications and media handling during major incidents.
• Significant experience in leading and mentoring media relations teams.
• Strong understanding of media law and legal constraints.

Desirable:

• Professional qualifications in Public Relations, Media, or Communications.
• Experience with news desk management software.
• Established national and regional media contacts.

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Will Writing Service who are seeking a Consultant to join their team. Please find below further details regarding this position.

ROLE: Will Writing Consultant
LOCATION: London / West Sussex
SALARY: £28,000 to £30,000 per annum

Please note that this role includes significant travelling across the London region.

The Role of The Will Writing Consultant

• To provide companies a tailored Will writing services to employees of large multinational companies
• The client base is across diverse sectors such as finance, pharmaceutical, engineering, and media throughout the London area
• Your normal week will consist of conducting face-to-face client meetings (either over MS Teams or in person), drafting Wills and administration
• Face-to-face meetings are conducted via Teams or on site at the clients' offices (mostly located in and around London) however on occasion some may be held at mutually convenient locations or at their home address (advanced Will service).

The Person

• Previous F2F experience in Financial Services (e.g., Mortgages, Life Insurance).
• Experience in the Will Writing industry (not essential).
• STEP or CILEX qualified (or currently studying).
• London-based or with excellent connections to London and West Sussex
