The PPC/SEO Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective SEO and PPC advertising strategies to enhance our online presence, increase website traffic, and drive conversions both for our own brand and our client stories. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, creativity, and technical expertise to optimise our digital marketing efforts across various platforms.
Responsibilities:
- SEO -
Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive targeted traffic to our website.
Manage the flow of SEO work with chosen SEO partners
Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and site audits to identify opportunities for optimisation.
Optimise website content, including category pages and news articles, for search engines and user experience in collaboration with other stakeholders (as approved by the journo team).
Implement on-page and off-page SEO best practices, including link building, metadata optimisation, and schema markup.
Monitor and analyse website performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console, and provide regular reports and insights to management.
Budget management
Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in SEO and digital advertising.
Optimising and managing news publisher platforms (Google Publisher, Apple News)

Develop and implement client and internal (mining.com.au) social media advertising strategy
Manage and optimise pay-per-click (PPC) advertising campaigns across platforms such as - but not limited to - Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads and LinkedIn Ads.
Create compelling ad copy and visuals to maximise click-through rates (CTR) and traffic.
A/B test ad creatives, landing pages, and targeting parameters to improve campaign performance.
Develop and manage monthly, quarterly and yearly budgets for all PPC campaigns
Report on performance to management

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, content, and web development, to align SEO and advertising efforts with overall business objectives.
Support overall company marketing objectives and marketing department
Stay abreast of emerging digital marketing technologies and tools, and recommend innovative strategies to enhance our online visibility and competitive advantage.
