Your new role
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day tasks in the financial department. The role is focussed on the accounts payable function, processing and troubleshooting accounts and transactions to ensure that these are recorded appropriately and meet necessary compliance standards.

• Supplier statement reconciliation
• Receiving and recording invoices from suppliers
• Allocating and producing PO's
• Managing employee expenses
• Resolving queries from key stakeholders and clients

This highly respected, arms-length government organisation, which is situated in Brighton, is seeking a Media Officer to join its Communications team, which consists of two existing Media Officers, a speechwriter and a Parliamentary Affairs Lead.
You will have good experience of writing press releases, creating blogs and podcasts, and have an eye for innovative media with regard to promoting key messages of the work undertaken by the organisation. You should have experience of having professional, and at times "off the record" mature dialogue with journalists from the national or trade press, and have the confidence to portray the face of communications of this major public sector, government-linked organisation.

A large business within the tourism industry is looking for temporary support to start ASAP until the end of October. They require five people to start on a temporary basis.
As a support within the social media team, you will be carrying on duties such as:

• Respond to customer queries via social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
• Monitor a central inbox to respond to customer queries
• Support with calls from the wider team if required
• General ad hoc administrative duties

• Working with the Senior Social Media Manager and the Campaigns team, optimize paid social media products and services to amplify media campaigns.

What you'll need to succeed

• College-level training in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field.
• At least one year of relevant experience in a marketing role requiring independent work and demonstrated project leadership.
• Social media marketing experience in a professional services, corporate, government or journalism environment is a plus.
• Understanding of how to leverage social platforms (including Linkedln, X, Facebook, YouTube and lnstagram) in marketing campaigns.
• Paid advertising experience (LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads) is a plus.
• Strong computer skills, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with content management systems. Knowledge of HTML, understanding of a ticketing system, and experience administrating organizational social media accounts are preferred.
• An understanding of SEO/SEM and how to gather digital analytics is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Passion for staying ahead of digital trends and willingness to learn.
• Ability to prioritize workload and solve problems quickly.

We are currently working with a local authority to support them in their search for a Digital Communications Officer on a full-time, temporary basis. They represent 18 local authorities and three Local Enterprise Partnerships. They are led by the Mayor of the West Midlands.
Your new role
As a Digital Communication Officer, you will be working with external and internal stakeholders to initiate, develop and implement digital communications strategies. Raise awareness of the work of the local authority through the delivery of cost-effective, bespoke digital content which support the business priorities of the authority and Mayor of the West Midlands, whilst establishing the authority as a recognised and trusted brand for the citizens of the West Midlands.
