• Performs duties as team leader and is responsible to the supervisor for assuring that the work of the team is carried out by performing a range of coordinating and supportive duties and abilities

• Recommends changes to current policy and procedures to support the accurate and timely identification of fuel losses and inventory accountability for both wholesale and retail operations
• Coach the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assist the team/individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution
• Reviews data in Fuels Manager Defense which is DLA Energy Inventory system of record, Enterprise External Business Portal and Enterprise Business System to identify errors and ensures timely correction by the processing in Defense Fuel Support Points

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Carries out complex searches providing accurate and reliable information that informs clinical and management decisions, provides context for research efforts and encourages the self-directed learning of VANTHCS staff. Applies expertise to searching multiple health-related databases including, but not limited to MEDLINE, CINAHL, Psyclnfo, Cochrane Collaboration, UpToDate, as well as databases in affiliated fields such as business and the social sciences. Incumbent applies knowledge of the terminology and practices of health care disciplines, including all fields of medicine and surgery, dentistry, nursing, mental health, health administration, pharmacy and allied health fields, to accurately interpret questions and complete reliable and comprehensive searches.
• Performs critical evaluation of citations to identify those that are pertinent to a client's question. Evaluates resources and references, both primary and secondary, for authoritativeness, timeliness, and relevance to specific information requests. Ensures the accuracy and relevance of information provided.
• Applies knowledge of interlibrary loan resources and procedures for hospital libraries to facilitate interlibrary cooperation and the smooth exchange of information in order to provide VANTHCS staff access to a wide range of resources beyond those owned by VANTHCS. Coordinates the activities of a broad and varied document delivery/interlibrary loan system.
• Applies expert knowledge of DOCLINE, OCLC, health sciences databases, and bibliographic control of medical journals to locate and retrieve journal articles, monographs, and audiovisual materials required by VANTHCS staff. Reciprocates service by providing materials from VANTHCS collections requested by staff in other medical libraries.
• Incumbent evaluates the Library's collection to identify gaps in content, select authoritative resources to fill those gaps, and to proactively identify and remove outdated materials from the collection. • Assists with maintenance of the Library's Integrated Library System. Develops expert knowledge of one or more system components (ie, OPAC, cataloging, circulation, etc.) and initiates actions to ensure data integrity, smooth functioning and optimum use.

• Serves as a Senior Natural and Cultural Resources Programs and Policies Attorney for the USAF JAG Corps.
• Maintains Highest Level of subject matter expertise in Natural and Cultural Resources Law.
• Provides assistance to Air Force Civil Engineering Center, including the installations Directorate on matters involving Natural and Cultural Resources law as these affect Housing Privatization, Utilities Privatization, and Enhanced Use Lease projects.
• Provides assistance to Air Force and Department of Justice litigators on environmental, occupational safety and health, cultural and natural resources, and related real property matters in dispute in administrative, regulatory, or federal court proceedings.

Major duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Tracking and reporting on Veterans who have attempted suicide or are at high risk for suicide
• Responding to referrals from the Veterans Crisis Line (VCL) and self-referrals from other sources
• Ensuring that all VA staff members have received discipline-appropriate suicide prevention training (VA S.A.V.E. training or equivalent)
• Collaborating with community organizations and partners to increase awareness of suicide prevention best practices and providing training to individuals who have contact with Veterans
• Providing subject matter consultation to providers on available resources for suicidal individuals, as well as expertise and direction in the areas of system design to prevent deaths by suicide.
• Working with providers to ensure that monitoring and treatment is intensified for high-risk patients while making sure that those who are at elevated risk receive education and support about approaches to reduce risks
• Reporting to OMHSP on Veterans who attempted or died by suicide and sending OMHSP requested data, which is used to determine characteristics and risks associated with these groups of Veterans
• Ensure NWI follows prescribed practice related to the activation, management and deactivation of High Risk for Suicide Patient Record Flags (HRF-PRF).
• Implement facility suicide prevention strategies in accordance with VHA policies and clinical practice guidelines
• Use available online tools, training materials, and resources to enhance the care provided to Veterans and raise awareness among community stakeholders
• Assist, as needed, with clinical outreach contacts related to VCL consults, REACH VET outreach, flag reviews, post-discharge f/u or any other contacts necessary to meet clinical needs and program requirements.

• The incumbent participates in training activities and scheduled conference calls as required by OMHSP. In addition, the incumbent may have contact with staff at VISN 23 who provides training, education, mentoring, and technical assistance. Other applicable guidelines include treatment plans, tour reports, procedural manuals, VHA and medical center regulations, treatment program policies, treatment manuals, and accepted clinical practice.
• The incumbent uses judgement in meeting patient needs by selecting and adapting various therapies in accordance with the guidelines. Significant deviations from the guidelines are referred to the supervisor. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining case records in a manner consistent with medical center, JCAHO, and other applicable standards.

Performs multidisciplinary professional engineering assessment work involving the application of electronics, mechanical, aerospace, and/or other engineering disciplines to determine the business and technical needs of customers in the Mission Assurance, Anti-Terrorism and Integrated defense and Risk to Mission Arena.

• If selected, employees work on an intermittent (on-call) work schedule. This means that employees are in a pay status only when activated to respond to workload needs, especially in response to heightened disaster activity. When no longer needed, employees return to a non-pay status until the next event necessitates additional staff.
• However, depending on the workload and/or level of disaster activity, your work schedule may be changed to full-time. Subsequently, if the workload decreases, your work schedule may be changed back to intermittent.
