A wonderful daily housekeeping role has become available for an experienced person to look after the home of a friendly family of five (girls aged twelve and ten and their baby brother aged nine months) and their small friendly dog. The family live in Markyate, Hertfordshire. You will be working alongside Mum, who would like help to keep their busy home running like clockwork.
The role could be either live in or live out. If live in, there will be use of a private en suite bedroom.
The hours for a live in candidate would be:
Mon – Fri, 06.30-12.30 returning at 14.30-19.00 (52.5 hours/week)
The hours for a live out candidate would be:
Mon, Weds and Thurs, 06.45-13.45 and Tues and Fri, 14.00-19.00 (31 hours/week)
Although this is mainly a housekeeping role, a love of children would be a wonderful addition. There will some occasions when Mum is busy that you would be asked to do the school run or look after the baby if he is napping.
The family is active, they like outdoor walking, football. They enjoy being together and have a love of good food, often having weekend breakfasts.
Duties to include:
• Tidying and organising the home
• Cleaning all rooms to a high standard
• Family laundry – including bedding and clothes
• Ironing
• Bed changing
• Wardrobe management
• Putting away grocery shopping
• Kitchen assistance at meal times (Mum likes to cook)
• Running household errands (post office, dry cleaning etc)
• 1 dog – to be fed and occasionally walked
There is the possibility to travel on holiday with this family.
A driver is essential for helping with household errands and the occasional school run if Mum is held up. You will need to be a careful and confident driver, with your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be paid.
The family is looking for someone who would like to muck in and become part of the family. The candidate will be a warm, friendly and honest person who is pleasant to have around.

Details of any training needed for this job: Enhanced DBS (update) and 12 hour Paediatric First Aid

Live in: £38,220 gross per annum / mutually agreed overtime to be paid at £14 gross per hour
Live out: £27,404 gross per annum / mutually agreed overtime to be paid at £17 gross per hour
