General Manager Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Implement and maintain high standards of food quality, service, and hygiene.
- Manage inventory and supply chain to ensure availability of authentic Turkish ingredients.
2. Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring they understand the cultural aspects of Turkish hospitality.
- Create a positive work environment and develop team members through training and mentorship.
3. Customer Experience:
- Ensure exceptional customer service and address any complaints or feedback promptly.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the dining experience, including themed events or special menus that highlight Turkish culture.
4. Financial Management:
- Monitor budgets, financial performance, and profitability of the restaurant.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts, making data-driven decisions to improve performance.
5. Cultural Promotion:
- Promote Turkish culture through food, decor, and special events.
- Engage with the community and build relationships to attract a diverse clientele.
6. Marketing and Sales:
- Develop marketing strategies to promote the restaurant, including social media and community outreach.
- Collaborate with local businesses and participate in food festivals to enhance visibility.
Requirements:
- Cultural Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of Turkish cuisine, customs, and hospitality practices.
- Ability to incorporate cultural elements into the restaurant's operations and marketing.
- Language Proficiency:
- Fluent in Turkish (both spoken and written) to communicate effectively with staff, suppliers, and customers.
- English proficiency to interact with the diverse Singaporean clientele.
- Able to work and commit during Weekends and public holidays is a pre-requisite.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in restaurant management, ideally in a multicultural environment.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing diverse teams.
