About The Role:
Days of Working: Three days at 12 hours per day, three off.

As Train Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards of trains, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for passengers and staff. This role plays a crucial part in the overall maintenance and appearance of trains, contributing to a positive customer experience.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a tidy environment inside the train
• Inspect and report any damages, graffiti, or vandalism to the appropriate authorities for prompt resolution.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring that all necessary materials are on hand to perform daily tasks.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

The post holder will:

• Be flexible in response to the needs of the school
• Be organised, self-motivated and reliable
• Remove refuse and clean classrooms and communal areas
• Assist in the organisation and completion of major periodic cleaning
• Assist in the care of furniture, resources and equipment
• Have an awareness of Health and Safety issues
• Participate in training as required

Cleaning Area Supervisor – Manchester

Your role will be very varied but will include:

The Governors of the CLIC Trust wish to appoint a Cleaner for Old Moat Primary School.

We are looking for someone who is a dedicated and highly motivated person, able to provide high quality support.

The post holder reports to the Cleaner in Charge / Site Manager. Apart from team members, the main contacts of the job are: other School staff and pupils.

The main purpose of the job is to provide a flexible, seamless, customer focused cleaning service within schools.

Main Duties

• Ensure all duties are undertaken in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with requirements under Health & Safety regulations, established safe systems of work and City Council policies, practices and procedures.
• Undertake duties connected with the cleanliness of the environment and school premises to maintain high standards in the internal and external appearance of school buildings.
• Ensure the safekeeping and return of any keys issued for access to rooms and observing all procedures in respect of building security, energy conservation and confidentiality of information.
• Assist in the care of equipment, materials and storage areas used in cleaning the building.
• Provide an efficient and effective removal, storage and waste disposal service.
• Identify and report building and equipment faults promptly.
• Prepare rooms for use, including functions and events and clear rooms after use.
• Participate in training as required.

Where the post holder is disabled, every effort will be made to supply all the necessary aids, adaptations or equipment to allow them to carry out all the duties of the job. If however, a certain task proves to be unachievable, job redesign will be given full consideration.
