About The Role
Responsible for the operations of the Cleaning Team and Catering Team and all soft services, delivering excellent Customer Service by ensuring all requests from users within the ELFT are executed in a timely, accurate and professional manner all within the agreed service level requirements. The Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is appointing a Senior Clinical Fellow in General and Benign Colorectal Surgery. The post holder will be responsible for ward rounds, will undertake General Surgery and benign Colorectal outpatient clinics, and assist on General Surgery theatre lists. The post holder will support the Colorectal Cancer team as required, however this will be on a limited basis, and therefore this post is not recommended for anyone looking for extensive training in Colorectal cancer or major Colorectal procedures. There is opportunity for the post holder to get involved in teaching and training, audit and quality improvement work. Interested applicants will also have opportunity to gain experience in endoscopy.

The post is offered on a full-time basis, and includes a 1 in 10 on call commitment, including night shifts, with commensurate banding.

The post will be based in the Department of General Surgery within the subspecialty of General and Benign Colorectal Surgery. The post involves supporting the supervising consultants in the full spectrum of clinical activity including main theatres, day surgery theatres, out-patients and ward work. As the trust moves forward from the COVID-19 pandemic, services are changing rapidly to adapt to a new way of working. Therefore the successful candidate may be expected to support surgeons across the service. This will provide an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced surgeons, particularly as they look to continue to provide high quality clinical care in a post-COVID healthcare environment.

The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:

- Attending occupied or void properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties
- Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer


Skills and experiences:

To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented
- G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS), currently undertaking the qualification or prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
- Working experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- PC literate and able to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving license
