• Serves as the Chief Engineer for a major Army Air and Missile Defense (AMD) effector system responsible for leadership of all engineering disciplines across all technical activities associated with the system.
• Provides subject matter expertise to the Product Manager on engineering efforts to support program planning, development, integration, production, modernization and sustainment activities.

This position serves as the Assistant Regional Inspector General for Audit Services Region IV.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Serving as a Supervisory Auditor (Audit Manager) and is responsible for the conduct of comprehensive audits of Departmental programs, such as those managed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
• Planning, directing and coordinating the audit segment of the IG annual work plan within the region.
• Providing line management for the provision of audit services for assigned management and program activities of the Department within the geographic area. The incumbent also plans and coordinates audits of programs and contracts funded by other Federal departments and agencies.
• Serving as a contact point for advice and assistance on audit matters including programs of other Federal departments and agencies where HHS has audit cognizance.
• Assuring audit guides were followed, working papers adequately support findings and conclusions and provide sufficient data to prepare a meaningful report, and that the audit objectives are met. Incumbent is responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the special and recurring reports required of an ARIGA.

As an Interdisciplinary General Engineer/ Operations Research Analyst at the NH-0801/1515-3 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Manage assigned DTR resources to achieve reliability and readiness of data collection assets in support of Missile Defense System and partner testing.
• Coordination of infrastructure improvement/sustainment and/or mission planning activities with other affected asset managers.
• Management of budgets to efficiently satisfy project goals and objectives by tracking obligations, accruals, and expenditures. Provide POM inputs as required.
• Work across multiple organizations, internally and externally to MDA, to plan and scope mission support, develop mission support plans, provide estimated mission support costs, and support the overall flight test readiness review and execution cycle.
