Housekeeper - required for our brand-new luxury care home ‘Selwood House’ in Charlton Down, Dorchester, Dorset, Part of the Country Court Family.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working weekends on rota
Selwood House Care Home located in Charlton Down near Dorchester accommodates up to 84 residents, and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater for various care needs. Specialising in residential care, dementia care, and short-term respite care, Selwood House will provide a warm welcome as soon as you set foot through the door.

ABOUT THE HOUSEKEEPER ROLE
Within your role, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Our Housekeepers have the highest of standards when it comes to our Homes. They have exceptional attention to detail, a keen eye for anything out of place as well as making sure all our Residents personal clothing and bedding are washed, pressed, and folded immaculately. They also make sure that our Residents rooms are to the highest of standard of cleanliness and hygiene through thorough cleaning, no surface is left unchecked. They really are a key cog in our family.

Experience as a housekeeper or laundry assistant is preferred but not essential

Cornwall, Liskeard based but will be expected to travel to Bodmin once a week

You will be managed by Michelle Nicholls who has been with us for just over a decade – she has moved around through a few of our support and housing roles in various services before becoming a manager, so knows a thing or two about supported housing. There are ten of us in the housing management team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too! The support team who you will also work alongside have six members. Within the support team is the former cleaner for this role, she has moved into a support worker role.

 Job details  

• We are flexible with the rota and the hours which you work. The hours can be worked over 2, 3, or 4 days and the times can be flexible to meet you. We can discuss this further at the interview.


• You’ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
