About The Role

To undertake the cleaning of hard surface floors, carpets, walls, ceilings, windows, light fittings, glass, balustrades, stairs and other equipment as specified.

You will be working Monday to Friday, on a casual basis, 06:00 to 10:00. This is a 0-hour contract.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• To be responsible for cleaning throughout the internal Cribbs Causeway as allocated by the Housekeeping Supervisors, Housekeeping Manager and Environmental Services Manager (this may vary from time to time).
• To use cleaning materials as instructed by the Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Manager.
• To use electrical equipment relevant to the specified requirements i.e. suction cleaners, wet vacuum, rotary scrubbing machines, steam cleaners, carpet cleaning machines and escalator cleaning kit, ride on Karcher and Taski machines.
• To dust and wash surfaces carefully each day with clean dusters/cloths, including benches, plant pots, ledges, white doors and other places where dust settles.
• To comply with COSHH, Manual Handling, Risk Assessment and any other Cleaning Policies in the Cribbs Causeway internal mall and relevant sites.
• Ensure that Cleaning Operative are observant to any health and safety hazards/defects, correcting them immediately (where possible) and/or reporting as appropriate.
• Ensure that safe methods of work are conducted and that the prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE) for the respective job is issued to the employee(s) concerned.
• Comply with supervisors local procedures as directed by the Environmental Services Manager and Housekeeping Manager.
• Ensure that procedures for authorisation, procurement, storage, and issue of cleaning materials, consumable items, tools and equipment are followed.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules stipulated by Incentive FM Management and the Client to meet or exceed customer expectations throughout the internal Cribbs Causeway venues.

Expectations :

• Have or willing to attend a First Aid Course.
• Report all issues to the Housekeeping Supervisors, or, if unavailable, to the Environmental Services Manager.
• Employees must comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e. when using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents, etc).
• Provide excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks to a high level.

• You will be expected to display a professional image at all times

Physical Effort

Duties involve standing/walking for long periods of time during the shift

Duties may involve undertaking physically demanding tasks e.g. moving cages of approximately 300kg in weight as and when required

Whilst working at ward level being able to cope with witnessing distressing sights of patients who are very ill and may be at the end stages of life

Whilst working in the Emergency Department witnessing traumatic injuries

In the course of your duties you will need to be sensitive when coming into contact with patients and members of the public who may be experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety are confrontational or under the influence of alcohol

Our client, a collaborative and nurturing international firm, is looking for a Paralegal/Claims Handler to join their Professional Indemnity team in Bristol, who act on numerous high value and sensitive claims for clients throughout the UK including solicitors, surveyors, accountants, brokers, engineers, architects and their insurers. This role is based in our clients Bristol office (minimum of 2 days per week in the office). However, you will be able to work remotely from home for part of the week if desired as the firm operates a hybrid working policy. You will receive full training and consistent support.

Your new role

You will be working as part of an already established but growing claims handling team that handles professional indemnity claims made against professionals on an outsourced basis. The team handles claims on behalf of leading insurers, acting under delegated authority levels for pre-litigated matters from first notification of loss to resolution. You will be running a caseload which requires you to review and investigate cover, assist insured professionals, respond to claims and report to Insurers where necessary.Working with the Head of Claims and other team members, you'll be responsible for a technical and efficient delivery of service, as well as collectively, building and shaping the team for the future.
Day to day duties will include:

• Reviewing insurance policy terms, identifying, investigating, and reporting potential issues to insurers.
• Assisting Insureds to respond appropriately to complaints and claims, investigating externally where appropriate and considering at an early stage the merits and value of claims.
• Negotiating settlement of claims within the delegated authority. Working efficiently, commercially, and equitably in line with delegated authority.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have prior Claims Handling and/or litigation experience; experience of Insurance is preferable but not essential. Ideally you will have a Law degree, or will be working towards ACII, CILEx or equivalent legal qualification, alternatively you might have significant experience in claims, with technical knowledge and expertise.An understanding of how to provide excellent customer service is essential and you will be hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated, with competent skills in Microsoft Office. Previous experience of using a case management system is desirable.

Ideally you will have a Law degree, or will be working towards ACII, CILEx or equivalent legal qualification, alternatively you might have significant experience in claims, with technical knowledge and expertise.An understanding of how to provide excellent customer service is essential and you will be hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated, with competent skills in Microsoft Office.
