General Maintenance Operative (Handyperson)
Location: Central London
Up to £32,000 and Excellent Range of Benefits.
New Innovate Shift Pattern, 4 days on 3 days off shift pattern - Monday to Saturday

Sodexo is seeking a dedicated General Maintenance Operative for our prestigious client sites in Central London.
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of planned and reactive repairs and maintenance to building fabric, including minor decorating, moves, and porterage at our central London client site.
You will be an essential member of the local team responsible for ensuring the safe operation and repair of all M&E building services and fabric equipment on-site.
As part of your role, you will diagnose faults and undertake repairs within your capability, ensuring routine maintenance to maintain buildings to appropriate standards as defined by relevant regulations and best practices. You will also carry out like-for-like replacements and minor new works as directed.
In addition, you will be required to respond to emergency call outs and provide engineering expertise 'out of hours', managing a variety of reactive tasks and planned activities to meet service level agreement deadlines.
About You
Experience and knowledge requirement for this role:
- Appropriate experience, demonstrating a systematic approach to problem-solving.
- Possesses practical skills, including a working knowledge of engineering compliance and best practices.
- Experienced in independently working in a technical maintenance environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
- Capable of self-managing and planning workload effectively to meet deadlines.
- Familiar with Helpdesk procedures and workflow requirements, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Experienced in working with safe systems of work and following procedures.
