The post holder is expected to keep the stores area clean and in a secure condition in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and report any concerns to the supervisor or ward manager. They would assist in the security and safe custody of local stock and other delivered goods. Ensure that local stock is effectively rotated upon receipt. Keep goods and paperwork tidy. Takes personal responsibility for selecting the correct method of transportation of goods. If manual transportation is required this may include the use of roll cages, pallet lifters or other lifting or carrying aids. The housekeeper MUST ensure the required training has been undertaken BEFORE use and consults with the ward manager where the required training has not been undertaken needed to complete the task. Where required (or requested) to do so, ensure that Personal protective equipment is used. If required to work high lifting equipment that is done with at least one other colleague present. Where required or requested demonstrates their duties to new starters or wider colleagues. The post holder will maintain the security of sensitive personal or other confidential information received by them and will reliably apply all relevant information governance policies to working practice. Additionally, they will be expected to follow secure operating procedures for handling information in all formats, including verbal, written and that held electronically. The post holder will support the Trusts internal audit service during regular reviews. The post holder is responsible and accountable for their own practice in line with Trust infection prevention and control policies that reflect evidence, best practice, and legislative requirements. In addition to observing the departmental rules and procedures, which all staff are required to observe and follow, the post holder is also required to follow the Trusts general policies and procedures that apply to the employment relationship. Whilst the Trust recognises specific responsibilities fall upon management, it is also the duty of the post holder to accept personal responsibility for the practical application of these policies, procedures, and standards. The post holder should familiarise themselves with these, and ensure they have an understanding of them, and adhere to them.

Deputy General Manager

Are you looking for your next senior hospitality role?

As the Deputy General Manager at De Vere Tortworth Court near Bristol, working with Raphael Herzog, our General Manager, you will play an instrumental role in driving culture, leading from the front and maximising on the property's extensive capital investment.

The Deputy General Manager has a number of Direct Head of Department reports and will oversee the hotel operations to ensure all guest expectations are met, through the delivery of consistently high standards of service as well as having strong commercial awareness to drive revenue and profitability.

To be successful, the Deputy General Manager will have;

• Recent experience in a similar role either as a Hotel Manager, Deputy General Manager or Hotel Operations Manager. Experience within a similarly large Hotel is desirable, although not essential.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire and develop a team and excellent communication skills.
• A service orientated approach, a passion for high standards and the ability to drive the property and team from strength to strength.

Deputy Head Housekeeper - Live In Accommodation Available

As the Deputy Head Housekeeper you will work with the Executive Head Housekeeper to set, monitor and maintain the highest level of housekeeping and guest service standards. Your attention to detail will ensure that our guests enjoy meticulously clean rooms and memorable moments throughout their stay. You will deputise for the Head Housekeeper as required in all aspects of supervising the team and regulating housekeeping costs, keeping in line with the business forecasts by maximising room division profitability.

Your skills & experience:

• You have previous experience in hotels; ideally already in a similar role and in a similar sized property, however, we will consider applicants who are looking for next step in their career.

• You are IT literate and previous Opera experience & Fourth Hospitality would be an advantage.
• You are aware of all legislation that is relevant to your work including health and safety at work, COSSHH, environmental health and fire precautions
• You have strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues to deliver a consistent level of service
• You are well organised with good time management skills, prioritising tasks and managing work schedules and rotas to meet operational demands
