About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a multi-site Regional General Manager Working for our Global Excavator Customer
based out of the East Staffordshire area / Rocester. As the Regional General Manager, you will have responsibility for
performance, development and service delivery through the operation and transport site General Managers. This will include
operational oversight and strategic input into long term planning and development agendas as well as ensuring shorter term metrics
are delivered.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
* Drive sustainable performance improvement across the account
* Own and deliver operational change agendas through personal leadership and providing value adding contributions to strategic
and longer-term development agendas at both board and senior customer levels
* Ensure regional compliance with health and safety regulations, GDP obligations and environmental and quality standards.
* Overall regional accountability for operational performance to Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
* Implementing, embedding, sustaining and ensuring operational excellence using the principles of ‘The Unipart Way’ CI, lean
methodology.
* Driving a culture of employee engagement, championing employee voice through local and regional employee recognition,
supporting employee engagement through commitment to Employee Forums, Trade Unison Partnership and the delivery of world-class
employee engagement levels through Engagement and Pulse check surveys across your account.
* Leadership of the multi-site operational teams, working collaboratively within a matrix organisation to ensure capability and
delivery of operational objectives to meet the business plan and targets.
* Supporting the delivery and implementation of your regions medium- and long-term resource plans, considering local and national
market challenges, tracking fulfilment and quality measures, and ensuring customer demand and business plans are met.
* Multi-site Operational budget setting and management within targets, ensuring all financial targets, fee revenue and cash flow
are managed to budget and forecast.
* Monitoring regional performance and the achievement of appropriate delta correction through robust operational reviews and
audits.
* Developing relationships of mutual understanding and respect through effective two-way communication processes across site
teams, customers and suppliers.
About You
We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this
role!
* Experience of Inbound and Outbound multi-site operations for a large 3PL or in-house function in a high-volume / fast paced
environment
* Knowledge of the latest warehousing and distribution best practices and emerging concepts and solutions from across the
logistics industry
* Experience of coaching and mentoring people – excellent leadership skills
* Track record of influencing internal people and at all levels to drive change
* Excellent communication skills - spoken, written, and presenting
* A strong understanding and experience with Logistics & Supply Chain Operations and considered an SME in Transport Operations
