The General Manager Sales is responsible for the planning, coordination and management of sales activities in their designated country or region for Lufthansa Group and Joint Ventures. Where applicable, the General Manager is the representative of Lufthansa Group in the country(s) or region(s) and builds and develops relationships with the relevant stakeholders.
In close collaboration with the SIN GM units, he/she exploits the revenue potential from the new business segment, SME as well as account managed customers and travel agents. He/she leads and motivates the team to drive awareness and position the Lufthansa Group and Joint Venture partners (where applicable) optimally in line with strategic initiatives. He/she is part of the Execute Sales process.
Your Profile
· Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s degree in Economics or equivalent
· Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in two of the following fields: Sales, Commercial Areas, or Account Management.
· Experience in Aviation Industry is an advantage
- Excellent command of English both written and spoken
- Knowledge of German desirable
- Good knowledge of MS-Office applications
- Proven track record in leading diverse teams
· Strategic and analytical mindset to proactively develop the market, with a ‚hunter‘ mentality to chase opportunities in both B2C and B2B environments
· Ability to build strong relationship with local partners, including Singapore Airlines
· Strong understanding of local market needs and cultural trends
Possesses digital mindset and savviness to grasp further digitization opportunities
· Extremely high level of customer and service orientation
· Self-motivated individual that can work independently.
· Strong communication skills

· Experience working in an international environment is an advantage
Dependent on the assignment focus the tasks include the following:
Business Development & Account Management
· Establish, execute and follow-up annual sales objectives and KPI targets in line with the assigned budget and market development for the Lufthansa Group and Joint Venture partners.
· Identify revenue/cost opportunities in cooperation with the SIN GM units and develop appropriate measures to exploit these opportunities in all relevant segments
· Assess account developments and performance (in terms of customer behavior, competitor activities, tools, technology and trends), evaluate and derive appropriate measures
Steering & Monitoring
· Responsible for negotiation and approval of agent and corporate customer contracts in his/her field of responsibility
· Coordinate Lufthansa Group and Joint Venture partner topics with relevant interfaces and local execution of commercial requirements
· Steer sales promotion activities based on defined action plans, where applicable
· Steer customer service activities based on defined processes, where applicable
· Continuous performance monitoring against set targets and derive appropriate actions to meet sales / budget targets accordingly
Representation & Information
· Represent the Lufthansa Group and Joint Venture carriers within his/her assigned country or region (where applicable, Power of Attorney)Ensure internal flow of information and cooperation with relevant interfaces Participate in other duties as assigned
People Management
· Select, lead, guide and motivate his/her team
· Personnel planning in accordance with target agreement and budget allowance
· Develop the team and foster talent by applying the available performance management tools
Process Orientation
· Accountable for process execution within his/her department
· Actively collect and contribute ideas for process improvements
