Your day to day

In collaboration with the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager, supervises all aspects of one or more full-service food and beverage outlet(s) on a daily basis and coordinate special events. Ensure compliance with standards of service and operating procedures. Adhere to federal, state and local regulations concerning health safety or other compliance requirements.

As a restaurant captain, you are responsible to promote and ensure guest satisfaction, maintain a safe and sanitary work environment and ensure only the highest quality products are being served.

Establishes rapport with guests to build guest loyalty and gather constructive feedback to ensure satisfaction of every individual guest. At the same time, in collaboration with the Assistant Manager to handle daily team member relations, and encourage problem solving by team members through proper training and empowerment.

Financial Returns

• Assisting the Assistant Manager to maintain procedures to (1) ensure the security and proper storage of restaurant inventory, and equipment, (2) ensure the security of monies, credit and financial transactions, (3) replenish supplies, inventory, uniforms, etc. in a timely and efficient manner, and (4) to minimize waste and control costs. Participate in taking inventories.

Guest Experience

• Ensure guests are greeted upon arrival. Respond appropriately to guest complaints. Establish and implement appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Create innovative programs and promotions to market special menu items, increase sales, and increase guest patronage. Assist in the development and implementation of new menus and local food and beverage marketing programs, and participate in and maintain system-wide food and beverage marketing programs.
• Greet, smile and maintain eye contact with guests at all times
• Deliver responsive, warm and caring service to guests

Responsible Business

• Supervise day-to-day activities of one or more food and/or beverage outlets. Plan and organize work. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all restaurant equipment (coffee and beer & water machines, registers, etc.) is in proper operational condition and is cleaned on a regular basis. Ensure that all restaurant facilities are cleaned, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volumes. Notify Engineering immediately of any maintenance and repair needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for guiding the hostess, waiter/waitress and bus boy/girls in the performance of their jobs.
• Responsible for ensuring sufficient operating guest supplies, beverage supplies and operating equipment during outlet’s operation.
• Responsible for the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the outlet during the shift.
• Responsible for the proper maintenance and good working order of all equipment, furniture and fixtures in the outlet.
• Responsible for consistently implementing the service standards and operating procedures in the outlet.
• Responsible for ensuring sufficiency of manpower in the shift.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by immediate superior, which leads to guest satisfaction and profit for the hotel.
• Alert management of potentially serious issues.
• Ensure all staff is properly trained and certified if applicable and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
• Handling tactfully on guest request or complaint
• To ensure the standards of service are delivered

What we need from you

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1-2 years restaurant management experience in a full service outlet or similar setting. Hospitality Management Degree or some college preferred.

Other:

• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork, ordering, interpreting results, and giving and receiving instructions.

The Senior Orchestra Librarian manages the Orchestra Library Team which is responsible for the procurement, preparation, and upkeep of music materials – printed sheet music in both hard copies and digital files – required by the various musical groups of the Singapore Symphony Group (SSG). The position holder will also be required to maintain the database of all musical works that have been, or will be, performed by SSG, and to provide and update pertinent information on these works.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the Library Team, including allocating manpower to work on concert projects and duties, and assessing the team in periodic performance reviews.
• Determine the yearly budget for the acquisition of music materials and process all related invoices.
• Procure music materials required for performances by purchase, hire or loan. This includes confirming with Artistic Director and/or Conductor the correct editions to be used.
• Prepare music materials by proofreading, editing, and marking scores and parts. This includes working with Conductors and Musicians to prepare materials according to specified requirements.
• Provide music materials for Musicians’ use with sufficient lead time before the first rehearsals, as well as scores for Conductors, Instructors, and external AV vendors.
• Manage the collection of musical works in the Library by cataloging and filing them properly. This includes checking the physical condition of the materials.
• Maintain the database of musical works in the Central Planning System (ArtsVision), by ensuring Work Titles, Instrumentations, Durations, Editions, and other relevant information are correct and up to date.
• Perform rehearsal and concert duties by ensuring correct set up of music materials (in folders) on stage before rehearsals and concerts, as well as proper strike of folders after certain rehearsals and concerts. REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum diploma holder with at least 5 years of experience working as an orchestra librarian

Category Management / Analytics:
 Prepares reports, performs analysis and tracks benchmarking of category spend.

 Independently gathers and synthesized third party (secondary) research.
 Creates and maintains category spending and pricing databases.

• A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred; professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA or FSA) a plus

Executive Housekeeper

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Prepare roster for the managerial team to ensure leadership coverage on all shifts
• Organize induction and on boarding program for new colleagues and trainees
• Take an active role in the planning, execution and monitoring of cleanliness and maintenance to ensure that Housekeeping areas are consistently maintained at high standards.
• Ensure compliance to local government Employment Regulations.
• Monitor and improve work safety standards to avoid any health and injury hazards occurring from malpractice.
• Ensure that the various contingency plans are adhered to by the department
• Attend the daily operations briefing as well as others meetings as required
• Communicate effectively with the Quality Team on objectives and goals in order to improve room quality
• Conduct room inspections to ensure high cleaning standards are upheld.
• Organize and participate in training sessions to equip Room Attendants and House Attendants with knowledge
• Work with engineering department to improve on functional operation of Guestrooms
• Review and update the labour budget and forecast to plan/fulfill manpower needs
• Work closely with Talent and Culture on hiring of full time hires and trainees
• Review and ensure monthly expenses always in line with the budget for monthly Profit and Loss Report
• Active participation in hiring, training, coaching, counseling and guidance to lead guest service using a Heartist® approach
• Build an effective team and develop a culture that promotes open communication, service excellence, teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, trust, mutual respect, colleague satisfaction and embracing diversity
• Ensure that the Housekeeping Department team projects a warm, professional and welcoming image and is well groomed at all times

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree, Tertiary Education or Diploma in Hotel Courses Preferable
• Minimum 6 years of Housekeeping Management Experience ina 5-star Hotel Complex
• Pre-opening experience is preferred
• Strong working knowledge of PC skills, MS Office Applications and PMS
• Thorough knowledge of Housekeeping equipment and procedures
• Knowledge of local labor laws preferred
• Be service oriented with an eye for details
• Have excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and communicate with all levels of colleagues from diverse cultures
• Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team
• Maintain professional, neat and well-groomed appearance
• Flexible and able to embrace change effectively
• Able to work independently in a dynamic environment
• Possess strong leadership qualities, sound judgment and decision making and problem-solving skills and with high integrity
