About the Role:

• You will initiate, plan, coordinate and execute a full spectrum of Research, Development, Test and Evaluation efforts from basic research to development and prototyping for next generation undersea communication technologies.
• You will be involved in the design, fabrication, testing, integration, and fleet introduction of novel undersea communications technologies.
• You will provide advanced scientific, technical guidance to fill capability gaps with technologies including radio frequency, acoustic, multi-modal gateways, optical and other novel capabilities for information exchange with undersea assets.
• You will formulate plans, organize, control, review and approve NUWC Division Newport's efforts and provide technical leadership and oversight to ensure stewardship of the organization's technical capabilities.
