General Manager

Sodexo has a great opportunity for an experienced General Manager to join our established team working with our clients based in Cambridge.
As the General Manager, you'll be at the helm of our amenities building, leading your team to success. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations, fostering business growth, and ensuring the overall development of both your team and the Amenities Hub.
With a proven track record in operational leadership, you'll establish a positive, supportive, and inclusive work environment. Meeting agreed-upon specifications and performance targets, both qualitative and financial, will be crucial to your success.
Your extensive background encompasses leadership roles in both kitchen and front-of-house services, with exposure to cleaning and maintenance driven by a dedication to exceptional service. You thrive on leading from the front and witnessing the development of your team members.
This role is multifaceted, covering various areas such as Food & Drink, fitness, building management, housekeeping, retail and compliance. Additionally, you actively engage with the broader Sodexo community and contracts, representing the Amenities hub.
You are a versatile operator comfortable with crafting business cases, engaging in commercial discussions, and leading a team with finesse. This presents an excellent opportunity for a seasoned leader seeking advancement in General Management.
About You
Experience and knowledge requirement for this role:
• Proven experience in managing and leading large teams over an array of services to include kitchens
• Industry acumen and knowledge of external hospitality and developments and innovations
• Strong financial understanding and demonstrable budgeting management
• Experienced in adhering to and driving company initiatives
• Personal innovation and passion for food and service
• Demonstrative customer focus and service skills
• Strong communication, and negotiation skills
• Experience working in a standards /compliance environment
Qualifications required:
• Relevant craft and H&S qualifications and training
